Is any one able to recommend good reasonably priced clippers?
Paid good money for supposedly professional clippers a few years back and they were rubbish.
Thank you

honestly?
just get a fairly cheap mains plug set.
i had a battery cordless "proffessional" set and the battery lost charge quickly and then i dropped them.. game over
the set I got for £15 10 years ago still going strong.
and if they break - no biggie buy another set

I’ve skinned my own head for 20+ years, I’ve always bought the £15/20 ones from Argos and never had a problem, in fact my spare clippers are about 12 years old and still work fine. As long as you oil the blades they work, no need to buy the proper oil for them either. Cod liver oil tablets work just as good.

"Oh and avoid Wahl from Argos ,boots etc, they are retail and not the same motor as the professional ones I mentioned "
There’s nothing wrong with ones bought from Argos. They work perfectly well for the home user.
The ones you recommended were the professional range. Which are great for barbers using them all day as the motor is designed for all day use.

I have a Babyliss kit I bought from Boots, for £28. Been using it since lockdown, when I was clippering my two sons’ hairs as well as my own.
I just use a dab of olive oil across the blades now and then. Extra virgin of course |
