David Attenborough, a man in his 90 's who was trying to enjoy a meal in a Weymouth restaurant called Catch was accosted by one of these protester types. She shock could have killed him.
What is wrong with these lunatics.
Then they sit in one of Gorden Ramsey's restaurants for some reason. What's going on here guys? It's been all over the news. Can't a man enjoy his meal in peace without these cretins ruining it ? |

Catch is a frstauy in Weymouth. For some reasons these eco types seem to be blaming David Attenborough for not doing enough for global warming. Also that there is an inequality between those who can afford to eat in Catch and those who can only afford a bag of chips... |

"Is he really in his 90’s? Isn't it about time he was put out to rest ? Especially if he’s causing trouble out in public like this. "
He is 96! He was out having a meal. Are old people not allowed to eat? |

That's disgusting as he has done more to protect the planet, by showing us how fragile it is and why it needs protecting. He can afford to retire as his work has inspired so many to grab the baton and study the natural sciences.
Bon apetit to him and throw cooking oil in the face of the protester.
Don't these numpties realise that crude oil is used to make the clothing, that these protesters wear, even electric cars need plastics, oil for lubricants and electrical insulation? |

I think that's most unfair. In making just one series he flew @256,000 miles. He must have flown many millions of miles in his lifetime and has probably contributed more to global warming than most people on the planet.. |

Better than having his audience of millions flying to all of these places instead. |

I don’t condone the behaviour of this activist in any way but, unless I missed it, not one person on this thread has actually got this correct.
She is a marine biologist who was being critical of Attenborough for eating seafood when he is more than aware that our oceans are being overfished and face being depleted beyond repair. She was pointing out hypocrisy. |

You are incorrect. She's not a Marine Biologist and the protest was about the prices of the restaurant and global inequality. |

Then we have read different accounts but both yours and mine are different to all those above which focus on climate change. |

Lolz my bad, it seems we were kind of all correct...
“Mrs Smart said in a statement: "The Catch is a symbol of excess and inequality in today's world, Weymouth has average wages amongst the lowest in the UK and is at huge risk of sea level rises.
"Yet this restaurant still continues business as usual amongst the worst cost of living crisis many will ever experience.
"We don't need another documentary series showing us that we are losing some 150 species going extinct globally every single day.
"What we need is action. Sir David is in a unique position to tell the truth about the biodiversity crisis." |
