Existentialism.. Does it?

Tin town

My son has started asking some very thought provoking questions.. Certainly of a philosophical nature... In my ignorance I'd probably guess in the direction of existentialism.

Now I know that fab is replete with people of knowledge and expertise. Any of you thoughtful fabbers have any recommendations for a book such as a beginners guide to existentialism?

Oxford

The classic, and still helpful, intro is Sartre's Existentialism and Humanism. I think there's a Very Short Guide, too.

It depends on the stage of development of your son.

There is more philosophy in encouraging thought and questioning than there is in a book.

20. Sometimes very pensive. Sometimes very childish... But he's in the mood for exploring a bit at the moment so thought I'd encourage him.
