No one is obliged to boycott Qatar 2022, but for those who are going to watch it, I do think it's an interesting exercise to ask yourself if there are any circumstances in which you would refuse to watch a sporting event that you would normally be glued to. Qatar crosses so many lines - unprecedented corruption, terrible working conditions, oppressive regime - that it's an easy decision. |

Hence I made my decision not to go to Qatar, despite Wales are in the world cup for the second time in our history of the competition. I don't agree for Qatar to be the world cup host for obvious reasons. |

I’ll watch the opening ceremony and the first game although it will likely be a stinker
Will watch England tomorrow. Might work from home but we do have a big telly in the office
England should win that group at a canter |

"The game is over and ecuador won with 2-0 against qatar, it seemed that thousands of qatar fans left the world cup opener at half-time."
Thought it was weird a big section of Qatar fans all had the same shirts on - like they were maybe paid to be there. Not good though host nation fans leaving early |

Me and the husband had this conversation again tonight. If it was a country that murdered people for religious differences or racism based stuff, there’s no way they would have ever been given the World Cup. And yet offences against LGBTQI+ people is glazed over because ‘religion’ never mind the people who died building the stadiums. Utter madness.

I was in India for the first F1 race in Delhi, was running a car in a support race to the F1, and they drafted in the army to fill it the grandstands for the TV, handing them civilian shirts on the way in, was funny to see, the tickets cost over a thousand times the local annual wage lol. |

"I am watching the france v denmark game, it is really good and denmark just scored. I reckon that denmark will win this game with 2-1 "
Was a close game but France had better players which made the slight difference |
