Yes. When I was at school my class built a wooden birdhouse and put food in it regularly. We kept photographic updates and the teacher sent them to blue peter & they send badges out for everyone in the class.

I don't know the badge is though now..

I had one back in the 80's . Myself and a few other kids set up a bring & buy sale and donated the money to one of their appeals.

I also got one for designing a plaque that ended up on the ceiling of the newly repaired York Minster. It's not there anymore though, I had a look when we visited in January.
