We spend so much time working, keeping our homes in order in multiple ways, and answering to the wants and demands of others. It's all too easy to forget ourselves, take time out just for yourself or treat yourself to something that makes you happy.
So when is the last time you did something just for you?
And if you haven't recently are you going to make sure you do, and if so what will it be?

It’s a big birthday for me next week so I have three celebrations planned, have had my nails done, bought a new outfit and intend to buy myself a nice present too
Can’t remember when i last went out so I’m looking forward to it |

"Going up to London tomorrow night to have dinner and drinks with friends I haven't been able to see for months, it's nice to be an adult rather than just being mummy all the time"
That’s what I’m looking forward to as well. Adore the kids but adult time is much needed! |

Secret hideaway in the pennines |
The last 18 months have basically been working to live, so not really had much opportunity to actually do something for me, but last week I thought fuck it, and took my first steps into the art of Shibari and booked myself into a series of workshops to learn the art and the skills |

In September I took a week off work. Mr NBVN was away in sardinia, kids were back in school & work.
I had a wonderful week of positive reflection of my achievements this year, promotion and moving jobs, successful major surgery, clearing marriage debt after 10 years. I went on walks, ran and didn't go anywhere near a shop. It was so nice to be my own centre of attention

Every day. Little things. Today something of a bigger treat. I got a wicked bright coloured dress, a colour I usually shy away from. And I made few people smile. That's a treat on a different level. Their reaction.

Not all that North of North London |
I think the bog one was resigning from my last job with nothing lined up. Ahdvwhile circumstances forced it, it was very much for me.
On a general level I have very few commitments with no family and a supportive partner so I get to be quite selfish. I need to run and ride a bike amd go to the gym for my physical and mental wellbeing so I'm quote selfish in prioritising that |
