Like I said up there, everything I've read says it only suspended the new policy for the flight that took the England team to Quatar

The new policy was initially only rolled out to staff in the UK, US & Israel

Why the US?

Derby

As a retired commercial pilot.

I remember some 20 years ago being first officer to a female captain on a routine flight from Nairobi Kenya to Riyad in Saudi.

The approach controller in Riyad tower would not allow the captain to perform the landing claiming it was not allowed on a Friday.

I think things have improved somewhat since then but Islamic countries can and do have some very archaic laws.

Off topic I know and I apologise and yes I dresses in white shirt and dark trousers and blazer.

As did my female colleagues. So on flight deck dress has always been gender neutral.

Why the US?"

The three countries the policy was rolled out in were deemed to be the most tolerant apparently

Would you turn down a free whiskey served by a man in a kilt ?

Fortunately I don't like whiskey.

Sorry I'm still scarred by the old bloke in Tesco the other day.

In pink mini shirt, crop top and flip flops. I fled in terror...

A man who wears a mini skirt, is likely to shave or wax his legs. So he won't have hairy legs and can serve your coffee.

Thank you HH, you beat me to this. There are many men who keep their legs fastidiously smooth - yours truly included.

This is an uninformed opinion… he may get the Coffee accidentally split on him here
