Jump to: Newest in thread
Hi all you horror movie fans, my brother recently sjowed me Hostel 3, and some on the stuff in that shocked even me, not really being into horror movies etc, but whats the worse death you have seen in a movie? We have seen all SAW's, but the Hostel movie really did shock us |

The worst death for me was not at all gory, unless you meant the worst gory death....?
The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas was awful in a very different kind of way |

It was terrible especially for being so historically inaccurate. Quartering was usually done post mortem. |

"Human deaths in movies don't phase me it's when something happens to animals that does."
Agreed! Although I found Saw 3 hard to watch with the guy in the rack trap I was more disturbed when Christian Bale killed that homeless guy's dog in American Psyco (And you didn't even SEE it, just heard it, lol). x |

Watched a film called untraceable recently. The killer would torture victims on webcam. The more viewers he got the worse he would get. One guy got cooked alive, he was strapped to a chair in front of what looked like heaters or lamps. Another guy was strapped to a chair in a water tank and slowly killed Acya pouring sulfuric acid in! |

I looked this one up on Youtube a little while back. It's nowhere near as nasty as you think it is. There is a LOT of autosuggestion used in that scene... take a look at it and you'll see what I mean.. |

The most 'thought provoking' one I have seen is in the film Munich (about the aftermath of the 1972 Olympics hostage taking).
There is a scene where Eric Bana, Daniel Craig etc go to assassinate another assassin (a girl in her mid 20's) on a canal boat.
It's done in such a cold, matter of fact way and so accurate in terms of wounding etc it stays in your mind for quite a while after.....

Yes it was but I think they imply they are cutting open his belly and drawing his intestines out while he is still alive. |

The bit when the cop gets strangled by Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men.
Just the look on his face, the way the cop struggles & the scuff marks on the floor make it all look very real.
Disturbing. |

As a counter to the op, watch Peter Sellers in the party, in the opening scenes, playing a Raj era sodier, gets it all wrong......classic. Most moving deaths: Any of the soldiers in Saving private Ryan, the medic.....momma, momma, mom...... |

In the kids movie Up. In the first few minutes you see how a couple meet when they are children and go on to get married and grow old together. They have an ambition to travel but the women dies before they can. Me and my teenage children were devastated and it took a while for us to recover. |

The one where the soldier is stabbed through the heart slowly after a struggle makes me cringe |

Do you mean in the movie Saving Pvt Ryan, it is pretty hard to watch, but not gory, it makes you think what those guys went through |

To be honest gory deaths don't bother me. I remember once watching a movie where a 6 week old baby is killed. They don't show it . But you know. And I find things like that hard to deal with.

The first half hour of the film really hits home and I had the fortunate pleasure of watching it on one occasion with a veteran of the D Day landings who commented that was the most true to life fictional war film he had ever watched... |
