It lacked any real drama, and the ending is very flat.
I wonder if it being such recent history, which is rehashed regularly, the story had no way to offer drama and surprise?
Imelda Staunton ended up playing a peeved Queen throughout. Dominic West had Charles-like elements to his performance. Elizabeth Debicki has one facial expression throughout the whole thing. |
