I sometimes look at pictures I've been sent and say to myself "if you're 46, then I'm the Queen of Sheba" it's one of the reasons I'm drawn to younger men, I'm no oil painting, but I don't look my age |

Me too! My filter is set to 35 but generally if they are over 30 they look too old. My ex was 9 years younger than me. Haha x |

Apparently I don't look my age. And many of the men I play with are younger than me - not by lots and not on purpose though.
When looking for someone to date I tend towards older men, but for simple purposes of lust I tend towards pretty boys. |

Its a well known fact that women age quicker than men.
But we men do tend to look older as we don't use makeup or dye our hair.
Well not all of us do
Also a lot of people are not photogenic, I love photography but hate having my picture taken, and its not just because I am a minger.
As for simone she always hates her photos being taken but she has a great camera presence. |

I've always enjoyed the 'guess how old' game when out and about!
It's been said before but if we took specific age off and it was classified in brackets of say five years - would be interesting to see if there was a 'culture change' on here.
Still yet to be asked in public - although after some weekends I certainly look more '63' than '36' ! |

I agree, I see some men my own age and just think 'bloody hell, hard life or what?' But then I generally go for younger men, though I have been known to make exceptions... |

It's attitude, dress, hair and outlook as much as wear and year I think. Some people in their 30s and 40s dress, behave and style their hair like much older people. I have been fortunate enough to meet guys of all ages recently with Mr.N and they all had their good points |

Yes this completely! I see some girls from my year at school who look downright mumsy ( maybe because they are mums but you know what I mean!!) |

I'm a true full bloodied 40 years of age gent but agree with you ladies and guys. I'm not photogenic at all and always looks about 5 years older..
Perhaps FAB can introduce a new validation procedure.. All members who join have to provide photo ID along with a copy of their birth certificate.. One way of showing people are genuine.. It will never happen and I'm sure peeps may have ago at me for the above suggestion but it weep out liars and perhaps timewasters. |

I didn't want to be the one to bring this up.BUT,there is a reason blokes age
they have to go out and work;mostly
hard jobs where ladies don't;
they usealy work in shops or hair salons so there is a reason .
I look 43 but feel 65 |

Most people dont believe my age moisturising is important wrinkles are less then.
My OH has held up well against his friends for sure some guys age in their minds which affects attitudes.
Spending time with younger people keeps you young and active. I know I dont look like any pensioner I know and certainly dont act like one.
I must admit I have never discovered the benefits of a *facial tho ..blergg ! |

I have my mum to thank for instructing me to moisturise my face and skin when I was 11, and for her good genes.
Being fat also helps as it helps to plump up the skin so that wrinkles are not as noticeable.

Wow... I worked 12 hour days in an open fronted shop on the seafront for 5 years before I had my son, the cold and wind was unbearable, my lips were chapped all the time, I was on my feet and doing heavy lifting and was the only female in that particular job, also had my hands in cold water/display counters and was in the fridge/freezers a lot of the time. But I don't look my age. I know plenty of woman that work tough jobs in all conditions and still look good for their age, I also know a lot of blokes that work checkouts or are estate agents and look old for their years. So I think that argument was piffle!! Lol x |

Genes contribute an awful lot and there is nothing you can do about that. Then add in lifestyle.
So, some who have the genetic disposition to age quicker, and have a detrimental lifestyle, will look a lot older than they are. |

sorry but you cant make a blanket statement that men ALWAYS look older . there will be some guys who look much older than they are and there are guys who dont . just the same as there will be women who look a hell of alot older than their actual age and some that dont .
i know there are afew guys who certainly do look younger than their actual age and some ladies who dont . |

Personally I know that I am fortunate to look a lot younger than my age. I'd like to say that there was some magic formula but in the main that is purely down to good fortune and good genes.
I do think that some men, make themselves look old though. I have old school friends that don't exercise, are overweight and spend a few quid on having their hair clippered. You don;t need to be Gok Wan to know how to make the best of yourself. |

i dont realy care about looking old.
to me a lot of old people look good.
have seen women in their seventies on here who i think are attractive.
my hubbys seventy, he doesnt exactly look after himself though he is very slim and i think he looks great.
i would still rather look like i did when i was a teenager though, i think most people never look as good as when they are very young. |

I think I look almost as good as when I was young but in a different way. When I was young I could put any old rag on and still look my best because I had a firm body, young skin and all the confidence of youth. Now I know more or less what suits me, have the confidence that comes with experience and I don't give a flying duck what anyone else thinks. |

I think you'll find not all guys infact its well known that men mature better than women..
Remember guys don't have makeup etc to hide behind ?
But do agree in the swinging scene there are many guys that don't make an affort, just dressing well and good personal grooming can make you look younger..
I've been told i look younger than my age by many people, but then i refuse to get old .. |

Well known by more mature men, sure.
It's just more socially acceptable for me to age. It doesn't mean they look better when they do! |

Women can hide their age with product...make up,hair dye, fake tan etc...take all that away and then have a look at their pics....men on the other hand are mostly all natural in looks whether some lie about their age is another point...have known some ladies to blatantly lie about their age |

But I think men always look older than woman ?? " I think men in general make less effort on apperence. Many do notvuse hair dye of cover their face with makeup so there is less of an effort go mask the visual apperence. This only hit home when I went swiming with colegues and noticed how different people looked exiting the pool.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
Not all of us slap on loads of make-up and hair dye but the tools are there for all to use. Artifice and guile can only take you so far.
When I can be bothered I make up my eyes and my lips and can't dye my hair. My look younger strategy is to be seen in shadowy lighting. I'm remarkably wrinkle free like that. Try it, it's my top tip after moisturising. |

One of my face photos shows me completely without makeup, in daylight. It's 2 years old but I'm honest about that. It's been in my public gallery a few times recently so lots of people have seen it. I've also been on cam in the chatrooms with no make-up on.
I'll post a more up-to-date one when I get round to it. Most days I wear no make-up at all. I don't lie about my age.
What was your point? |

I work in controlled environments where the wearing of make up, jewellery and strong scents are not permitted.
Hence I am used to having a bare face, and seldom wear any make up at all.
Eyeliner, mascara and lippy, plus a quick coat of nail vanish is what I would wear for sexy fun.
A full paint job would required an hour and a half on the face alone, plus whatever time it requires to paint the nails. Hence this is reserved for very grand outings only and needs to be planned well in advance.

His point was exactly what he said !!
Women do have lots of ways to mask their age
Your just answering the question based on yourself.t The fact is 1000's of women use beauty prodcts and spend alot of time on their appearance where as men don't ..
Not mentioning the amount of woman that underatake cosmetic surgery to improve themselves ..

Bollocks men don't.
Men can be far more vain than some women. And cosmetic surgery for men is a growing area too.
Just because women can use products to enhance how we look is no proof that men age better.
Like I said, men showing signs of ageing is socially acceptable but it doesn't mean they look better! |

I see some female profiles and think this, but I think in some cases they have to be lying.
I think I'm the opposite, to my detriment perhaps. Look too fresh faced and young for a 28 year old (pm me at some point and I'll show you ) |

One of the nurses at the local CASH clinic thought I was still at child-bearing age, and started to talk to me about other forms of contraception!
I informed her it is unlikely for me to change my mind at my age, being too late and now a fossil etc., she then looked at my DOB and the penny dropped!
Made my day I can tell you! |
