Definitely sure this isn't a normal forum post

My laptop recently updated - Windows 10. Yay. Was working OK then froze and I shut it down manually... know I shouldn't have done that

Now trying to fix it by system restore

Thoughts ?'

As long as it hasn’t crupped any off the system 32 files you should be ok to

If that dosent work do you have a roll back date set may lose some data but better than the alternative

Off formatting the drive and loosening everything

If all else fails it’s only the windows files that will be fucked

You you know if there is additional slots on the laptop for storage is the a mvme slot

Or anything if so you can put in additional mvme or storage and put a fresh install off windows on it then boot in and recover the data off the other drive

Failing that portable hard drive with windows installed and boot in it be slower but it will allow you on to recover the data from the old drive before formatting the drive completely
