So i finally got my nipple piercing. My question is how do protect it whilst healing when playing contact sports. Do you bandgage it, use breast pads or what. I got it pierced today and will be playing football tomorrow. Also i forgot to ask how long before going swimming if anyone knows. |

"Thank you everyone. Every bra i own is annoying at present. And im always slow to heal with piercings so ive a long road ahead no doubt"
Can I ask OP how painful was it for you when having it pierced? I would like both of mine done and I have a high pain threshold, but I’ve heard it’s really painful. What did you think? |

It was painful, but only because I had both done at the same time but like with any piercing it’s over quickly. My scaffold in my ear was worse tbh! |

Thank you so much. I might just pluck up the courage after all then. I don’t know why I’m so bothered as I’m covered in tattoos and I don’t mind them at all |

The nipple is apparently the longest healing (approx a year). I had one re-done just over a year ago and regret not just getting them both at the same time. Keep it clean was the best advice I got (I had a saline spray which I used a couple times a day for first few weeks). |

Honestly you will be grand so. I have a low pain threshold and it wasnt as painful as i thought it was going to be. Like 5 seconds only while the needle goes through. |

A bag of breast feeding nipple pads will see you through as padding and protection for the first bit of healing but once it's healed the fabric of a non lacy bra or sports bra should be fine!
Really depends on your bust size and shape too |

I have both nipples pierced but not at the same time. I found clothes rubbing on the first one very irritating and sore. So with the second one I immediately put a plaster over it when I got home. Much better and I left the plaster or re applied it throughout the healing process |
