"Overdue a comeback. Practical and can look good too. "
I always liked the way Italian men wear vests in gangster films, like James Caan in The Godfather. I fear I resemble Mr Bean in mine. |

My mum always bought us long vests to cover our backs.
We've all still got bad backs lol |

No, I was put off vests for life as a child. I bought a thermal top recently with long sleeves and I wear one of my many strappy tee shirt fabric tops in lieu of a vest. Which is daft really because it's a vest in all but name.
My mum was a fan of aertex which probably scarred me for life |

I don't own a vest. I'm still in tee shirts, even at work, though I do wear a works fleece jacket when going to and from work when it's chilly, and a works waterproof jacket when raining. |

I'd forgotten about aertex. I think our PE tops were made from it.
I wear Primark strappy vest tops. They aren't proper vests but they are a good substitute.

I wear the Primark ones too. They don't cover your shoulders which is the problem.
I think vests will make a come back this winter but the might call mine tee shirts to stop memories of childhood embarrassment returning |

"I discovered thermal underwear when working in a v.cold country (everybody wears them). There are fantastic, highly recommended."
My son wears thermals for work in winter. I'm getting some to sit in my draughty house in. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I was already stingy with the heating, so have thermals for the winter, and fingerless gloves at my desk.
I might buy a new vest as a treat, or to double-up if I can't afford to put the heating on at all.

"You know, a proper vest under a shirt or top?
Ones you get from the underwear section, not the tops or gym section.
I'm thinking of indulging myself this winter as my heating is staying off.
"
Only a string vest at the moment but I'm investing in body armor I think that will be better for the upcoming civil war |

"Yes under my polo shirts at work, and I have 1 long sleeve soft one I wear under a particular jumper, as it itches like crazy otherwise "
A long sleeved one would be nice right now. My arms are cold |
