I don’t know the ratios. I doubt the idea that there might be more men on here, is the reason why you are having “limited luck”. If that was the case then surely all men would be experiencing the same…
I’ve not looked at your profile and you’ve not asked for any profile advice so I’ll not comment. But truthfully usually a rethink and changing your approach helps.
Along with asking yourself have you done everything you can.
Do you attend socials? Clubs? …

Obviously is more men than women. But for each location where a user is would be where the competition will be so the amount could be important or not I've chatted with some million of miles away so I could be stepping on someone else's toes  but my approach seems to do something |

that bad enough as is for men but then add in all the women and couples profiles that are single men ..
then add in all those women and couples on here who do not meet via fab i think you'll be looking at silly ratios 400/500 toone more like ...

Many put so little effort in that the chances of them getting responses to messages, let alone a meet, are so small that they may as well not be on here.
So the numbers become less important. Every bad profile actually boosts the chances of the good ones getting attention and there are certainly some great single male profiles doing very well.
If you look at it that way then why worry about the numbers?

There will be a similar 'proportion'. But as already evidenced, the number of males seems significantly higher to start with ergo logically there'll be a greater number of inactive ones - that's simple maths.
And as is constantly stated. A woman can set up a profile with no photos, little text and still get bombarded with 'Hey beautiful' messages because some men will try their luck with anyone despite having no idea what they look like.
This isn't bashing men. It's just a fact. More single men join sites like this hoping for an easy source of sex than women. That's been a common theme ever since online swinging sites existed.
The ratios seem to bother other single men more though. Most couples and women aren't bothered by the numbers as they have a large pond to fish in and as I said before, it's easy to tell a good profile from a bad one. Those who know how to attract interest will be successful and the more crap profiles there are the more they stand out.
Claiming ratios impact success on here is a very easy excuse to make. Ask any successful single guy if he's at all bothered by what other men do and they'll probably laugh.

Whilst i also largely have little time for the 'woe is me' threads, there is a logic behind the belief that the insane gender imbalance in here is impactful. For eg, a woman with any half decent picture at all, showing up as online, is likely to get a wave of mails at any given time. The odds of her reading all of those is slim. So you can argue that messages get lost amongst the bulk of chaff.
A second example; the imbalance i mention gives distinctly average looking women the belief, quite understandably i might add, that they can fuck 'up' in here. Meaning the majority of women are probably fucking the same relatively small portion of guys. Once again, a result of the massive imbalance in here.

I think you are missing the point as anybody can be choosy as you put it. There could be a 100 men in a room and if I don't fancy any of them I'm not gonna sleep with them even if it means I don't have any sex. I wouldn't want anyone to sleep with me simply because I was the only option so I certainly wouldn't do that to anyone else. |

That’s just not true though… Men can be equally as choosy and rightly should be.
Regardless if 80% of men disappear women will still want to choose who they sleep with. They won’t just pick you because there’s no one else so to speak… |

They may get 'lost' yes. Or they may just get ignored. Even if the ratios were closer there's no guarantee a message will get read. And if anyone has an overloaded inbox that's largely their own fault. Good filters work wonders.
As for your second point? Maybe those 'distinctly average' women are getting messages from 'distinctly below average men'? If someone can fuck 'up' as you say, then good for them. Because by your logic that would indicate that there are men happy and willing to fuck 'down'. Which just makes me think more fool them. If your argument holds water it just backs up the regular claim that men will shag anything whereas women won't. That's not the fault of women.
I've just trawled through the 'who's look at us' list. We'll over half the single male profiles are blank silhouettes with one line profiles and either no pics or just cock pics. We'll over half. When we get messages from those (we look at profiles before reading messages) they just get blocked and the message deleted.
This means two things. No crap profiles get to message us twice and by blocking them too we won't stumble across them when we're browsing for meets ourselves.
Would we fuck 'up' as you say? Yep. But we'd never in a million years lower our standards or drop our preferences.

I've said on here numerous times that in the six years I've been here I've said no many more times than I've said yes and that's by choice.
Couple that with the fact that I haven't sent a single first contact message in 3 years so every conversation since has been started by women.
Also throw into the mix that I'm not competing with anyone but myself so the fact there are younger, fitter, better endowed men on here isn't a factor at all.
When I say these things I've been mocked, by other men, I hasten to add, for daring to suggest that I've actually said no to women or they make a joke about how I'm living in a fantasy world.
I've had sex with 7 women in those 6 years but probably had twice that number ask to meet for sex. Small numbers maybe in comparison to some but still shows that not only do men who make an effort have choices, they are also allowed to pick and choose and refuse if they so feel.
Ratios and numbers mean nothing to me because I treat each conversation as an individual and it never crosses my mind how many other men they may be chatting to.

Think of ways to make your grass greener, than looking at what’s over the fence. The ratio you think of isn’t going to disappear. So think of ways you can make yourself stand out in the crowd (not direct to you) but just in the sake of this debate. Yes there are a lot of men, but there are a lot of blank / poorly done profiles. Be yourself & do what you can to stand out   |

It really doesn’t matter about ratios or numbers.
If you build a decent profile, with an interesting bio and put up intriguing pics.
And if you use all the tools that the site provides…clubs, socials, cams, forums to reach wider audiences then you’ll be noticed by more people.
So if FAB doesn’t work for you and you don’t use the tools FAB provides then it’s your own fault, not because of numbers and ratios.

as a woman i know what i like as others have said if i was in a room with 100 men and fancied no one then i would go without im not here to have sex with anyone ...
i can get 100s of messages per week and sometimes daily if they dont float my boat by attraction i dont talk and even when i do like the look of someone it normally goes tits up via messages ..

It’s 4.15 am, so only low numbers online currently (about 12500 total apparently). If you look at the options for who is online in terms of either women or couples or whatever, it normally only says 300+, but with low numbers online in total it can drop below that, and currently there are-
212 women
270 tv/ts
The couples number is still above 300, so no fixed number, but basically the remaining 12000 online are split into men and couples.

Are ratios really that important on here? I tend to think that around 30% of all users make an effort with their profiles and of those I am probably willing to meet about 10% in my search for group and I would say about 0.5% of those would be willing to meet me.
So the ratio doesn’t really matter, because the variables remain the same. Do I find someone “attractive”, do they find me “attractive” are our circumstances (location etc.) conducive to a meeting?
If there were 100% more single women on this site, would my odds change? Only slightly and probably barely noticeable really. It’s the variables and not the raw numbers that count. |
