Army and navy should have been doing it for ages."
No they shouldn't because the people that The border force deal with are civilians. The army very rarely gets involved with civilians unless absolutely necessary. |

The most common army civilian interactions in my experience are d*unk squaddies smashing up the town, attacking the local civilians, then expecting that saying 'I fought in Afghan for you' is accepted as an excuse. |
