To be honest, I haven't watched the latest of Casualty in years as I felt it's become too americanised with unnecessary background music and it's not what it used to be.
So in the past couple of months, I've been watching classic episodes on YouTube and am now up to series 10. I think the classic series of Casualty are so much better the current series.
Which do you prefer? |

"You haven’t watched the latest for years yet are declaring the older series as better?"
I just think the classic series is better from my perspective. Anyone can choose whether they like the classics or the latest. |

You haven’t watched the latest though - that’s like saying ‘I’ve not watched Liverpool play for the last decade but prefer the John Barnes era’ |

I watched from when it first went out, and stuck with it until about three years ago, where the reuse of plotlines became far too obvious. Characters stated turning on a dime purely for the needs of drama, major plot-points and character traits conveniently forgotten and the every episode was set up accidents with all the cynicism of the boardgame "Mouse-Trap". |

Because the last time I saw an episode some years back, I noticed that like I said, it had become americanised with the storylines being too much focused on the staff and not much on the patients and the over-dramatic background music. It's pretty much become a British version of ER. |
