Not quite. There's the getting to the hospital if you aren't already there; laying in the morgue; coroner's report -if needed; journey to the funeral parlour; mourners coming to say goodbye in person; funeral, then cremation or burial.
After a cremation your ashes will be ready to be picked up a few days later, then the internment of the ashes.
Then, the handful of ashes your family kept aside are put under the tree they planted for you.
Then it's the end.

Death to me only means one thing, nothing, as is just a destiny that no one will ever run away and i don't think about what will happen next because is the last of my worries in this living life moment |

"They say you die twice. Once when you stop breathing and the second, a bit later on, when somebody mentions your name for the last time."
God, this thread is lovely.
But seriously it's nice to have subjects like this. |

"Is it the end?
Nope, your atoms will eventually be reused, you may become grass, and in time a cow. Or part of many thousands of cows. Etc
S'pose we can call it reincarnation?"
What are we anyway, but thousands year old carbon? Bodies from the dust of those that came before us. |

Aye. Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen plus nitrogen mainly, with a splash of a few other elements too |

I'm going to get frozen before I die.
Not because I think there'll be any cure for old age in the future.
Because we probably won't be able to afford to.put the heating on this winter.

My conscious self, which is a series of electrical connections in my brain will cease and there is no ‘soul’ that is independent of that so in that sense I just cease to exist, my body gets recycled eventually, matter can neither be created or destroyed.
The worst bit about being atheist is knowing that as we all cease to exist, I won’t be around to say to all those with beliefs who also will cease to exist, ‘see, told you so’ |

"Is it the end?"
Death is not the end.
Death is when you realise that there is neither end nor beginning, neither before nor after, neither "me" nor "not-me" and in that moment you are plunged headlong into the infinite, like a drop of water falling back down into the ocean.
And the ocean never ends.

I don't believe it is. In my line of work, death is a commonplace and when someone passes, we always make sure we open a window to let their spirit fly x |

"No one knows, no one has ever came back
Hmmmm. Apart from the people who cardiac arrested but we brought back with the ol' electric shocks etc. "
A bit of a myth that actually - created by all those dramas and movies.
Defibulators don't restart a stopped heart.
What they actually do is stop a heart that has gone into fibulation - i.e. not beating properly. The heart should then start beating again on it's own |

Do you know what it felt like for the billions of years before you was born? That's what death feels like. It's like being ugly, it's only painful or others |

Can't spirits go through glass? They can go through walls. |

Open the window and release the spirit like a balloon to go to heaven. |

Tried it. It was not all it is cracked up to be so I gave it up.
(bit of advice.. go down as the Barbecues are better and they give you a pitchfork for the marshmallows. Besides, who can refuse a spit roast) |

I was gone for a while a few years ago.
Complete and utter nothing,no memory,no light or anything just nothing.
Brought back and I've changed as a person but that's more to do with the blow to the head I received at the time. |

There is no spirit. No-one found it, or the G-spot, after eons of looking. |

When I did and they lay me to rest, I'm gonna go to the place that's best...
Hell hopefully. Orgies and metal music! Can't beat that only if there was cats there too. |
