Tbh it’s not as bad as I expected. Glad White and Maddison got in.
Watching the presser now, GS is a bit inconsistent. Says Abraham missed out because he’s in a poor run of scoring form but Maguire has the experience needed and the young defenders didn’t do enough to edge him out |

Drop Maguire and TAA could have taken Johnson over either of them. Drop Rashford for Toney. I think he should have got Bowen in that squad to he would have fitted right in and is it as well known just yet on the world stage so still hard to play against. Tatics and team from euros will not work at this World Cup teams have already figured out how to conteract them |

Glad that Madders is in the squad, I do worry that GS was pressured into it, and that he'll get very little game time, because he needs a bit of freedom in his role, and won't necessarily fit into the typically rigid England system. Time will tell though |

Hell yes! Really pleased for him personally, and also excited about what he can bring to the team. It was win-win though for us, not selected and allowing him to rest up and come back with a massive point to prove would benefit us as a club |

V - If Kane, Bellingham, Stones & Pickford aren't on fire, we're fucked, they're our most consistent players. Foden, Trent, Rice, Trippier & White are really good but not at the level ATM & the rest are bang average this season or just not even playing often. |

Trippier? Have you watched him play this season? |

I’ve only watched White twice this season but he’s been outstanding in both those games. Trippier I’ve watched every week and seen live a few times and he’s been unbelievable every single time. |

He has to play at LB, Shaw is awful this year. So yeah Trippier is descent but would be in his least favoured position. |

Season ticket holder at the Emirates so I see Benny Blanco week in and week out and he’s UNREAL. Only issue for him is that he’s been doing it at RB so it’s whether Southgate sees him as a RB or a CB option. CB in a 3 could make sense |

This is why I would take Dan Burn. |

I can’t see him playing RB when Walker and Trippier are going. Southgate loves both of them so I’m assuming he’s going as a CB. |
