Got one of those things that's supposed to tell how much energy you are using. Can't say that I believe what it's telling me but time will tell. Seem to be using about 4 quid a day and just wondered what others are seeing on average |

"Which is interesting as they've got me paying about 300 quid a month on direct debit "
Plus standing charge and the *really* cold weather hasn’t started yet .. so you might use more in Winter. Who knows? If you’re paying too much contact them |

are you in debit? If not ask them to reduce your direct debit but bear in mind if it gets cold you might be using £300 a month |

"about £4 to £5 a day but we haven't had the heating on yet
I'm testing that this month to see how bad it may get. I'm not Penny pinching yet "
we'd normally have had our heating on by now. It gets a bit cold in the evening and getting out of the shower is not pleasant |

We're actually in credit by a fair amount. I am not worrying about it, I just wondered what other people were seeing daily as a comparison |

Sorry didn't mean to imply you weren't aware
I know people who are using much less and some who are using much more. It doesn't seem to be related to size of property either. |

I'm using about 4/5 a day on electric, but there's more than just me in my household and they can drain on the electric.
Still waiting on my gas smart meter as they cocked up and only gave me the electric one for some daft reason.

"Averaging £2 a day gas and electric.
But. I am alone in a well.insulated 3 bed home. Out at work most days and haven't had the heating on yet "
That's good. I have only had my heating on once. But its not well insulated. There is always someone in at my house normally more than one person xx |

"All depends on your house and what you have on etc but yeah something like that sounds like it could be about right .. £120 / month
"
That’s about what I read for Oct I think it’s £115 , expecting it to double or treble in the really cold months abd down to about £90 in the hot months |

"I was spending less than £3 a day on electricity. Once the heating goes on that could go up to £5 a day.
"
And that's with a £5 per week debt recovery from when they replaced my broken meter and didn't commission the new one.
