"My paternal grandfather was born in the 1800s"
Made me think of this:
A woman, Harriet Tubman was alive when Thomas Jefferson (3rd president of USA) was alive.
She was still alive when Ronald Reagan (40th president of USA) was alive.
She was almost in her 90s when she died, but it's strange to think one person's life can connect two things that seem so far apart in history.
Not really relevant to the thread, but I thought it was interesting  |

No we've established its the 21st Century now.
No the 1900s were the 20th century. You were wrong!"
No I meant now, now is the 21c, that much is true. Its still not clear if the 1900s is a decade or a century or when the 2000s is/was. |
