Swapped a few emails on here with a lady , then we became ' friends ' and she sent a message ' can you send a face pic ' I did , less than a minute later I got a message ' no thank you hun ' and friends badge disappeared .
I mean I might not be the best looking 40 something but that seemed a bit harsh ....

I've had that off guys when I have sent a face pic. We can't be attractive to everyone. One person's goddess is another's munter. C'est la vie. |

I got one a few weeks ago from a single woman along the lines of "Oh honey, you are so NOT attractive..." she then went on about some guy who was incredible in bed so no way would I measure up anyway!
I think I would have preferred her to have just deleted my initial message and ignored me |

We've scared more than a few on here
The ones that piss me off are the people who message you a few times then ask for a face pic without sending theirs, even when they instigate the exchange.

I agree.
Just exchanged a few emails with a women, I thought she was joking around at first. Then realised she was serious and I was still polite, then she blocked me ;(
Go figure! |

Don't take it personally. It's each to their own, so you can't please everybody.
I guess they're only keeping people they intend to meet on the Friends List ... hence taking you off.
Plenty more fish and all that.

North of The Wall - youll need your vest |
But what would be the point of chatting on the phone and then seeing a pic later and just not fancying them?
Noone likes to be rejected but we cant all fancy everyone. Id rather someone said that to me rather than string me along saying they are interested in meeting when they are not actually interested at all... |

We have had this a few times one woman told me I should raise my standards as Sir is no oil painting. She then tried to arrange a meeting a few weeks later telling us she would lower her standards for one night. Needless to say we didn't meet. You can't be everyone's cup of tea and you just have to laugh it off. |

" At the end of the day this is an environment where people meet for recreational sex and if friendship comes from then that is good.
The whole concept of meeting on line is that you read some prose, view a picture or two and then make a descision as to attraction; a very fickle and floored process, hence some austere rejection messages! That said I recently got a thanks but no thanks message from a couple who were subsequently got let down and messaged me saying I was first reserve and could I get to their house within the hour! I politely declined using the "I have to wash my hair" excuse!! I may start a new site called "Recreational Sex for the sensitive" |

Wouldn't say it was harsh...if they didn't find you attractive then wouldn't you rather know than be strung along or meet up and them go through the motions. Know we prefer people to be honest with us.

Now that's harsh! Can't see why people feel the need to sent messages like this.

I like the ones who ask for face pics to be sent to their e-mail account... I always politely say there are sufficient facial pics on our profile.... Sending them via e-mail is not going to change how we look... xxx |

"If someone sends me a face picture attatched to a nice message and i dont like the look of them, i just say no thanks. I thought it was polite, what else are you supposed to say"
maybe... You are far too hot for me
I may faint in the presence of your beauty
No thanks is better than "urgh the midwife must have slapped your mother when you were born!"

I don't think that is harsh at all
Harsh, to me, involves being rude or unnecessarily candid with someone.
I would suggest that the lady did not find you attractive, would not consider meeting and thus removed the need for a friends status.
Just out of interest, what sort of rejection or knock back process would you suggest that someone uses ? |

"Don't assumeit's becauise she didn't like what she saw ... some people are intimidated by attrative people .... esprecially if you're gonna be sharing thier partner.
"
This may be one of the reasons... |
