Does aftershave matter?

Jump to: Newest in thread

I normally wear an aftershave on every occasion and spend quite a lot on it. Use to have different once for daytime/nights, summer/winter etc… but with the time I stuck with my favourite one at all the time.

Was wondering what others thinks about it and does it make a big difference when meeting?

Not for me. I love the smell of aftershave but I also love the smell of soap and water

Love the smell of a good aftershave. Very sexy and is a good indicator of someone's personal hygiene.

I wear it because I like it, did meet someone for a social and she told me it causes her to have a reaction at the meet but other than that everyone has said I smell great

A reaction ? Allergic reaction? Excitable reaction?

It's not important to me. But if the guy is going to wear it I just don't want him to have bathed in it. You can use too much

Personally I love perfume on myself I have work perfume, summer /winter, going out perfume. I think it's a good indication that people take the time on themselves. It makes me feel good too. I love a guy walking by who smells good I think it's a turn on and definitely makes you check out who's wearing it too.

As long as you shower or bathe and have good hygiene, don't forget oral hygiene. Nothing to worry about, I see artificial fragrances are gimmicks for people to make money. Were you born with a fragrance that is purchased from a store? No, you are not. Artificial fragrances. Mask the true person's genetic health.

Mammals use the natural body scent to find the perfect genetic match for healthy offspring. It has also been proven if you find the perfect genetic match, Sex is even better. Compatible genes bring out the animal in you, and sex can be very exciting.

Depends because even though the smell may be nice, when licked it can taste pretty vile, so Miss asks me not to

Do you pee in your garden to attract your perfect partner?

Wear "aftershave" (or cologne) for yourself, irrespective of meet or whatever the anticipated outcome.

Your signature scent should serve as an extension of your personality and characteristics, exuding a feel-good factor.

Only avoid it if your companion has categorically informed you of any serious allergies or contraindications. But then also don't bother with soap, shower gel, cleanser... ...

On men friends ? No, can't stand it.

On women ? Depends.

Back in the 1990's some of young women I dated smothered themselves in Poison and it was utterly vile. One wore patchouli which was an improvement I guess.

To be honest, only two women have worn scents which I liked. One was a Barrister and the other was Mrs DS.

Neither scents are found in high street shops.

Failing that, freshly showered and clothes fresh is fine.
