Who likes flying business class?
Which airline is best at it?
I’m sure you some of you are lucky enough to enjoy it through work or other means.
Just about to experience flying ANA to Tokyo |

For best value I fly premium with Virgin mostly. Business class is a waste of air miles. I had it a few times mostly Heathrow to Delhi overnight , you get a bed and they tuck you in but I never sleep any better than in Premium. The food is slightly better and you get champagne but it’s not worth the excessive cost / air miles |

"I travel for work and only fly business.
Emirates is by far the best airline I have flown with."
When emirates I fly economy with them and just pay £70 for a seat with leg room . For 6-8 hours it’s fine and £700 per ticket instead of £3500.
In Lagos with Emirates for N1000(£1) you can get business class up until the seat including lounge access if you know who to pay |

Depending on the seat in premium (and it's only the seat I care about) I'd say it's about distance rather than anything else. I wouldn't bother upgrading under 10 hours. |

Does anyone use Lounge-pass for when your ticket doesn’t include lounge access ?
I’ve been comparing Emirates Credit card, AMEX Platinum and Loungepass seems to be much cheaper and the best option |

When the A380 was new I flew economy on Singapore, and was lucky enough to be in the top deck. It's far and away the best economy I've ever flown. |

Agree it’s mostly about the seat , but if you aren’t flying direct and have a long layover , business class will guarantee lounge access but there’s other ways to get in the lounges and even if you have to pay it’s only $100 or less.
I think also business class often includes a driver to pick you up from home too , generally I use a premium Uber or taxi £100 for Birmingham and £250 for Heathrow so still a fraction of the cost of business class |

Oh absolutely. Most recently I've flown Finnair split fare, and they didn't do premium (they're less expensive as business class goes). I've not had a driver, do use the lounges.
I'm thinking in terms of going to the east coast of Australia, so 20+ hours flying - I judge airlines solely by how long it takes my bum to go numb |

Qantas, best ever business class, seats are comfortable and the service is outstanding
Virgin 789 Dreamliner is possibly the worst business class ever, seats are arranged pointing away from the windows and are so hard and narrow, only saving grace was the service, really good |

Did you see the news about a Chinese guy who bought a business class ticket, which included lounge access.
He went to the lounge, stuffed his face then moved the flight (free) to the next day.
Did the same for over 200 days before they cottoned on. He then cancelled and got a refund.

The best business class experience I had was BA, ehen the flew 747s, with a small upper deck of business class seats. Very tranquil and loads of space. The aircraft are now discontinued . Quantas was a bit hectic. Cathay was OK.
But all of the airlines change their products, so you've got to compare current product offerings, rather then rely on out of date memories. |

That’s a very long flight whatever class. Whenever I’ve done Australia I’ve always done a miini trip in Bangkok, Dubai or Brunei to break it up. I did though once do Auckland, 23 hours but never again. |

"You will get upgraded one day I know it"
I got upgraded in July, going from Amsterdam to Madrid. I enjoyed it very much, but wouldn't feel the need for pay so much more. The pilot who upgraded me was very kind. And rather handsome |

The best I have experienced is Singapore Airlines. Not just the seat, but the food and service were second to none. I have flown with them many times and they are consistently good.
BA however has gone downhill and its business class is not a patch on what it used to be. Their First class is better, but nothing like some of the others can deliver. |

I have been upgraded a few times for free but not for years . The first time I flew BA I told them I always fly Virgin at check in and was testing BA to Lagos. Another time in Virgin the flight was half empty as I was Gold the captain came to say hi and upgraded me and my friend. Now days they generally make you use your air miles or points |

I was upgraded because of my special needs Mr Handsome Pilot felt very sorry for the fact I'd been abandoned by the assistance team at Manchester, and he and his crew had to step in. |

"BA long haul flights are great for business class. Not so good at locating your luggage though. "
We go hand luggage only, everywhere now, so no-one can lose it. I'm always terrified of them losing or breaking my wheelchair though |

Was on a three weeks holiday in the states so I needed the large case. On the flight home, baggage handlers decided to walk out at Heathrow. Chaos ensued, bag lost and after a couple of months chasing them up, received a £1200 payment. Would prefer my luggage though. |

I was part of a training team for our work being rolled out to India so I had to make regular trips to and from Chennai with Emirates.
My last flight back home, after I decided I was never drinking again, as we’d drink ourselves silly each evening, they said as I’d flown with them regular now they’d upgrade me to first class.
You could tell it was my first time in first class as I was playing with all the seat controls for the first hour
They offered me a Buck’s Fizz as it was breakfast time and they continually topped me up - they stopped asking
Real cutlery and plates and a plethora or dishes to choose from.
It really was luxurious…would I spend another grand for it? Hell no but it was a fantastic freebie

I was lucky enough to fly regularly around the world with work, once you get accustomed to the space and legroom in First / Business it’s nigh on impossible to fly in Economy ever again on long haul particularly if you’re big / tall.
Would I pay £15k to travel First to San Francisco? No. But if the company are paying hell yeah! |

I paid £2500 for business class return to New Zealand definitely well worth the money |

I’ve flown business on Emirates twice at UK tax payers expense (thank you!). It was fantastic but I have to say Standard in Emirates is really good too! I wouldn’t pay the extra myself.
I was upgraded once to business on American Airlines but spent most of the time very comfortably asleep. I was driving after I landed so I couldn’t take best advantage of the free booze either. But hey, an upgrade is an upgrade!

"American Airlines business class is excellent. It's closer to the first class of other airlines.
I flew standard class with them and it was awful. It was like a condemned school bus. "
Unusual that a standard class experience isn't as nice as a business class experience. I can't imagine why. |

The thought of losing a whole day of my life in the air isn’t nice. I know its not a rational thought as it all adds up , I do 30+ hours a month in the air, but breaking it up feels better |

Has anyone has to fly Ryan Air after experiencing premium or first , it’s literally like being punished.
The Ryan Air tiktok is hilarious , they take the piss out the passengers complaints , laughing at customers asking for the Wi-Fi password etc |

Ryanair is fine, we went Ryanair to Tenerife (4hrs) last year, Mr KC is 6ft 4 and we were in standard seats (disabled people aren't allowed in the extra legroom or wing seats ) and he was just fine. Ultimately, it's just a means of getting from A to B. No need for food/drinks to be served, we brought our own and ate breakfast at the airport. |

Comparative to everyone else’s standard class, it was sub-standard.
Appreciate I’m extra snobby about these things but it was awful compared to, say, British Airways. |
