They don’t have any family together but I get what your saying. No matter what I would never relationship side between us and I kinda know she’s same. I don't have a brother but I probably wouldn't. But sounds like you have a relationship where you chat about personal stuff, so why not just ask if he'd mind you casually hooking up with his ex? Don't necessarily need to say how you've got chatting.

personally I think its the line you don't cross, fair enough 7 years is a long rime separated but I still think its not right, regardless to how long they been separated thats you're brother, no woman is worth the possibility of losing your brother out of your life.
