Well first I have heard of this but it wouldn't lessen the good luck i would wish on her or anyone venturing into hospital. I hope all goes well, the staff are pleasant, they give you plenty of time to recuperating and all goes silky smooth tomorrow and the recuperating days to follow.  |

its very daunting and scary going into hospital but you'll be feeling right as rain soon enough and hopefully be able to wrap your legs around the back of your neck once again |

Thanks everyone! Dad's dropping me off at the spa this afternoon then I can have a nice chill out prior to my op. Hopefully I'll be able to get on Fab on my phone in hossie so I'll post soon as I'm able...I'll do everything the physios and doctors tell me - my consultant is rather nice looking, I've always kinda hoped to run into him in the Manchester clubs but as yet it hasn't happened...I could be out as early as Sunday if all goes well - not looking forward to 6 weeks sleeping on my back, but at least I should be able to sleep a bit better than I have recently |

Yes wishingyou all the best Caz for a successful operation and a speedy recovery.
If it's any comfort to you, my Mum has had 2 hip replacements, the first one being where she and we all noticed a significant difference mainly becasue that hip had been a lot more painful for a longer time than her 2nd hip was.
She made a great recovery, able to drive again in 6 weeks and the new lease of life it gave her and freedom of movement meant that she looked (because she was pain free) and felt about 10 years younger.
I'm sure this will work out great for you and you'll feel miles better even as early as bu Xmas day.
