Who else likes to know all the doors and windows are akways safely locked?

Couldn't live in a home with too many downstairs doors and windows?

Gate open to anyone?

Is that someone upstairs?

Watched too many horror films...

I just like to make sure doors, windows and gates are locked because our village has got worse and worse with feral unruly teenagers and I don’t want my house broken into and things nicked.

I blame the parents… but THAT’S a totally different thread!!

I partially feel like this because of where I used to live. Garden break ins and a gang of teenagers bringing mayhem to the area. Stones thrown at the front windows and neighbours being savage about parking etc.

We’re dreadful with security at home

We’ve often gone to bed and not even closed the back door/ locked the front door

Windows are open in the summer. We’re probably a bit laid back

Front door was mostly unlocked. Family will knock and walk in.

I always knew, as there’s a bingbong from the alarm. It’s a quite neighbourhood so felt very safe.

Im a bit lacking in security at my place but the one door that gets locked every night is the wardrobe door because we all know that's where the killer clowns live x

I live up 6 flights of stairs and am quite high up, my step son didn't want the windows open in his room when it was baking in the summer as he was worried someone might get in....we said if someone wants to scale the building and be successful they are welcome to anything in the house as a reward lol

Not all that North of North London

I live in a first floor flat and the external door also needs a key so am quite relaxed. We'll leave smaller windows open when we're out or even away.

I've lived in similar flats for almost all of the last 20 years and have been similarly relaxed. Only time I've lived in a house was in Hackney during the riots when we had to barricade ourselves in

BRIDPORT

I’m a bit lacks in the security dept.

The other morning I was turning the place upside down looking for my vehicle/ house keys, they’re on the one key ring.

When I found them they were still in the lock on the outside of the back door
