Were the users of Fab raised by wolves in the forest or in an area where they weren’t familiar with calendars, censuses or writing equipment?
Everyday I see discrepancies between listed age and what’s written on their bio, most recently 39 v 36! Make your mind up people… |

Maybe they haven't needed to update their bio and forgot their age is in it while the one on their profile has updated automatically. It's the reason I don't put my age in the bio because there's no point. |

I dont see the gain in lying about your age, but I reckon people change it to suit someone age limit if they are just outside and forget to reset |

We’re actually slightly younger than our fab age which we thought would be a bit of a novelty when we listed it.

Numerous women I've spoken to have admitted their age is different and that they put it on for discretion reasons.
I mean fair play and each to their own. A sexy person is a sexy person and I don't think age matters really (I am 32 to clarify haha) |

Surely it's common sense not to put your age in your title or bio as you'd have to change it on every birthday?
Seen it a lot too. Although it doesn't bother me if it's clear the discrepancies is because the bio or username has just not kept up with the years rather than a deliberate attempt to mislead. |

If you don't put anything in your bio it automatically says something like I'm a 38 year old woman looking for men. I think a lot of people then add a little bit like I'm looking for NSA large cocked men etc. But then they never review and update it.
We saw one the other week that said they were new and in their early 30s. I think they were now 39 and had been on the site about 7 years |

Our first ever meet , we were stood next to the couple and didn't have a clue
When asked , there ages we're 10 years out
We're not stupid and realise that plenty will shave a year or two off , but come the day you meet , your gonna get found out
We've seen a change in who we ourselves can message , now we're just over 50

My age and any other identifying information is less than fk all to do with anyone else. My age and location are both wrong and nothing to do with filters but to allow me as much privacy I can get, for my own reasons. Sometimes it's just people trying to keep off the radar of certain other people.  |

When I joined Fab, I didn't fully trust the site because, well, look at it. So I set my birthday as the 1st Jan, then 1st of November so at least it was the same month. |

I don't lie. I've always said my profile age is a couple of years out just in case someone from the real world who knows my actual age thinks its a means of identifying the real me. Likewise our location is vague. My real first name isn't Obi either. Or even the one shown.
Little discrepancies are just used to maintain plausible deniability if necessary (and it has been before!) But yep - knocking a decade off, adding 6 inches to your knob size, taking 15 stone off your weight or claiming to live in a mansion in Surrey when you live in a studio flat in Hull is a tad daft.
People don't need to know every detail about you if all you're doing is meeting for a random, casual encounter.
But there are limits to creative adjustments and artistic licence......

Four years ago in 2018 I was in a groupchat with a man who has been here 10-12 years. His profile age back then was 55 but in the group he admitted he had shaved a few years off and was really 58.
He is the type of character who is asked to leave the site on a regular basis because of predatory behaviour towards numerous women but always returns under different guises including a couples profile last year.
In one of those profiles his age was given as 50 and always seemed to be getting lower although his most recent was 58.
Ages on profiles, like many other things are just tools of the trade for some tools. |
