Don't worry too much - there are a hundred reasons why lymph nodes become uncomfortable. Cancer is so far down on the list of possible causes it's a dot, but if so, is very treatable. Best of luck. |

If you worry like that then the worst thing you can do is go surfing the net for info it will tell you much more than you will need to know and make you worry even more with what you will read.
If they are inflamed then the biopsy will tell exactly what is wrong, when you get the results that is the time to worry or forget about it.

"Yes I realise you not suppose to read to much into things but if it is anything serious then i want to be prepared"
to be honest asking on a forum where you may get answers ranging from innocent inflammation to more serious will worry you more...
honestly make a call to a health care professional.
it always worries me when people ask medical advice on a forum like this.
once diagnosed, the sharing of experience is valuable |

"Already been to hospital guys but a bit upside down at minute and hoping its nothing to worry about"
If I were you Funlovers, I'd avoid researching this on the net and wait for your results though a call to NHS Direct might help.
The reason I say this is my younger daughter has recently had a pain in her side, which she went to hospital for a scan and should get the results around about Xmas time. her research on the net had her panicking as it ranged from being nothing (which she ignored) right through to cancer, death and infertility, which as a 23 year old who wants children one day sent her into total panic.
As hard as it is, take it easy and wait for the results, hopefully it'll be a harmless problem, but if it isn't when you get the results you'll get real and beneficial help off your Doctors.
Best of luck |

Sometimes the anonymity of forums like this allow you to express your fears without really expecting any answers..but as others have said you will feel less stressed if you talk to a health professional. |

Does your hospital have a breast care clinic with specialist nurses? if so give them a ring and chat with them, they can allay all your fears and support you through it all. xxx |

The breast clinic should have an advanced nurse practitioner get hold of her and talk through your concerns. Take simple analgesia, ie paracetamol and brufen if able to ease the pain. Good luck,.try not to worry xx |

im pretty sure a node is another word for gland -- if its swollen its generally a sign of an infection and they go back to normal by themselves over a few days - or after anti-biotics if needed - im thinking a doctor has told you this and said if it was anything to worry over and that something is being done - hope you feel better soon x |
