I heard about it and apparently from february these prices will kick in for all the basic goods foods and some as high as over 80%, like rice, pasta, how do you think think that the prices can be so high, is it due to the living crisis? |

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest |
Is this for the UK? Considering the prices of energy, general inflation and a squeeze on important commodities it wouldn't surprise me.
I read just yesterday that British manufacturing is barely treading water atm. Hard times indeed. |

Some agricultural inputs up by over 200%
Also don’t confuse the increase in the price of food with the massive increase in the price of grocery.
Very often , food is the cheap part of what you buy , the rest is packaging, logistics staff costs, and other material retail costs.
The food component is often worthless otherwise why do we waste over 30%of all food production. |

I have noticed prices going up here in the uk as well and I guess that, we will see a world wide price increase with more or less the same percentage there. |

Whilst the current financial situation is having a severe and detrimental impact on many and I think there is probably more to follow, I hope that, if nothing else, people recognise the true value of food.
The under valuing of food over a period of decades has led to the most obscene food waste.

I also read last month on how much pasta have gone up with 60% here in the uk, so it is is already happening, but with a slower pace. |
