Alcohol, according to an article in Marie Claire following some research.
The list, in order, reads:
alcohol
chocolate
sex
caffeine
swearing.
It is easier to give up coffee than chocolate!
What would you find hard to give up, from this list or your own? |

It wasn't on the top 5 list that I saw. The survey may have concentrated on women."
It was more about women I was thinking as a bigger percentage of women smoke. Well you live and learn! |

Chocolate contains caffeine so by removing chocolate, you also run short on caffeine.
I seriously doubt those results, is it one of those 10 people surveyed things?
I think the hardest thing to give up, is yourself. Be it your own stubbornness, or any other trait. |

I don't trust the robustness of the methodology as I read a short article and not the survey and analysis. I just thought it was funny that it's easier to give up sex than it is to give up chocolate. |

I don't drink coffee but one of the chocolates I tested for Chocolate Week I thought would go very well with coffee. |

I could give up any of the things listed in the OP, though to stop swearing would take some time as I'd have to change old habits. I'd miss chocolate but I could give it up if I had to.
I couldn't give up eating meat and I'd struggle to give up cheese or potatoes.
I don't think I could break my addiction to shoes and boots either. |
