Is stress. Over the years I've noticed a trend. People who just don't give a fuck about f all seem to live long healthy lives. The people who worry about others go out of their way for others and are just generally good people seem to be the most stressed and die younger. Am I alone in this observation |

As I’ve got older I’ve learnt to give less fucks about everything.
Not easy in the current environment I know, and I’m not dismissing those going through real struggles, but if you can let things wash over you life is SO much better |

Compassion seems to be a rare commodity these days, still we live in hope knowing there are plenty of good peeps who if they have the strength in them will go out of their way to help others in need. Never give up on hope, esp. in trying times. |

OP, i wouldn’t say stress is the biggest killer with “one meta-analysis showed that approximately 5 million deaths worldwide are attributed to mood and anxiety disorders each year.” Heart disease, cancer, etc. probably have higher stats.
Albeit you could argue that stress is attributed to lead to increased heart rate, cardiovascular problems, breathing difficulties and high blood pressure.
Work related stress is another high statistic.
You are definitely on to something though, plenty good and bad peeps have died because of stress which can be a silent killer.
I think it’s best to engage in some form of physical activities which can act as a stress reliever. I found yoga and meditation helped me. |

I disagree that altruistic and compassionate people are the most stressed.
Stress is a well known contributor to early death.
It’s luck of the draw. |

I’m sorry to hear you’ve suffered hearing and or seeing that loss, is never a good. Still, we should not allow it to change who we are. If anything we should be inspired by others who go out of their way to help the needy (is why we are put on this earth - to help one another). Only we are riddled with faults like greed, ego, etc. which we allow to get the better of us at times...! |
