Fabber sharing my address
Jump to: Newest in thread
So, an ex male friend on here has shared my address with another fellow fabber without my consent. He has also lied about having met me for sex. I feel this could insight unwanted advances (putting it mildly, I am trying not to use the r word). It also shows complete immaturity and disrespect. I'm not sure if admin would take this seriously ? This man is 60 odd years old. What's wrong with some men ? |

Sorry to hear this OP, some people are right thunderc*nts.
I guess if you have evidence you should share it with admin, if you don’t have physical evidence then it’s a toughie, your word against his.
I’m not sure if a crime has been committed (I’m guessing not but better legal minds might know?) but if this person ever shows up then I would get the Police involved.
This sort of thing is another reason why I would never have a meet at my house or share my address with ANYONE here no matter how well we get on.
It doesn’t matter if you’re male or female your home should be a safe space. |

What a filthy, disgusting thing to do. I’m sorry to hear it. I feel sure that admin will take it very seriously.
As for what’s wrong with men? Endless amounts in general but we all recognise the kind of entitled, bitter, savage old prick who would do this. Misogynist to the core and always, always immature. |

OP - that is seriously out of order and should be reported.
Unfortunately it is quite wide spread. There are a number of WhatsApp groups where private details/pix are shared - usually it is couples and ladies on those groups - and I think that is basically the same thing from a privacy issue. |

Why don't you think admin will take it seriously?!
I hope you are safe and have reported it both to the site and the police. The police may not be able to do anything right now but it is on record should it escalate. Of course we all hope it won't. |

Let some others close to you know all the details. Get a witness to your concern. But then try and move on. Report him for sure but they will want proof. Don't give him the satisfaction of him rattling you. Is the other guy on fab also? |

I'm shocked reading this, I would have thought that even on a site containing many strange, weird and questionable characters that sharing proper names, addesses or phone numbers with other members would be an absolute no no, I'm stunned someone would break this unwritten rule. |

I totally agree. You will find that there are a fair few people on the forums who get angry at info being shared by one or two men and then somehow overlook what is happening on groups they are part of. Make of it what you will |

Something similar happened to someone I know and the police advised getting one of those video doorbells. It means you don’t open the door to just anyone, but also it can be evidence of who’s been there |

No wonder no one accommodates any more - what a total shit - that’s beneath contempt. Swinging is Primarily based on respect and trust - and people do that type of stuff. No wonder the scene is losing so many of the decent people - or everyone just does club meets |

It's so much safer, especially with the club security in close proximity |

I don't meet at my house due to circumstances mentioned in my bio but I do meet at my work accomodation, I'm not near a club so unfortunately that's out but would be a preference for meeting people, I suppose I just think most people can be trusted to be discrete and genuine and realistically I know we shouldn't trust strangers with personal info. I am genuinely shocked at the OP story. |

This is truly horrifying. I’m reading recently more and more of stuff that puts me off, really.
Such a shame as there is so many decent people on here but it makes you rethink your approach. |

Unfortunately this doesn't surprise me but as others have already said above, information is currency here for some and sharing other people's personal details is not just a way of outing them but is often a requirement for remaining a member of some external chatgroups.
I have had random women I've never spoken to before send me unsolicited facepics and full names of other people I've disagreed with in the forums to use as ammunition.
Why anyone would even think that sending stuff like that to another complete stranger is acceptable is beyond me but it happens all too often.
I've also said in another thread that at that particular point there were 6 contributors to the thread that I had met personally. I only knew two of them by their real first names and all the rest by their fab names only.
However there were 2 other posters in that thread that I've never met or spoken to or exchanged messages with but I had been given their full names and personal details including place of work by a woman who had met them socially over 2 years previously but who had kept screenshots of all their conversations.
It may be difficult for some to accept but there are very well verified and popular women who are forum darlings who get a bigger thrill from stringing people along and playing with their emotions but also with their private lives than they ever will from sex.
Nothing on here surprises me anymore and especially not from the coven and their enablers. |

I’ve had similar but a guy who shared my number with other guys. For a long period I had chaps calling me at random times who clearly had the impression that I was a free sex worker.
It only stopped when a guy called me when I was at hospital (an emergency with my youngest daughter). I flipped and said exactly what I’d do if any of them called me again. I was left alone after that. |

This is the exactly the reason I don't join groups anymore. I have been in a fee groups especially I hate to say ladies only groups where people especially men's personal info like full names, pics and jobs were shared and for no other reason than people wanted to know more about them. A few other women had their info shared as well on there when the women in the group decided they should try and get these women off fab .I have zero interest in knowing about other people unless they themselves tell me the info. And even when I said in the group's it was out of order I was ignored. So I left and decided against joining them anymore.
I think sharing if info on here is so wrong and I find it odd that people who love getting all the gossip don't realize that at some stage they themselves will be the centre of the info exchanges that go on.
It's why I don't give out my personal information and show my face pic to people quickly on here. And I know some of my info had been shared on here in the past and have been sought after because I did previously speak out about these groups.
Op what this person did to you is out of order and yes I would report him for it. Chances are nothing will be done but at least you have reported him.Its an absolute disgrace that people think they have a right to do this on. |

There should be a judge rinder type thread
Accusations can be posted accuser and accused put their cases fwded..
Fab is the jury and reaches verdict accordingly..
Would allow others to make note of accuser and block accordingly |

He shouldn't have shared your personal details for sure but has this other person actually done anything? I understand it must be unnerving for you but could the first guy just be saying it to freak you out?

The big brain strat is to invite them over and have the police waiting inside. If you’ve already told the person not to share your address and they continue to, the police will sort it when they get there |

The police won’t sit and wait they don’t have the resources for that. No actual crime has taken place at this time either. It may be unnerving but they haven’t actually broken the law. |

It depends where you are I suppose. Where I’m at the police are happy to visit for conversations about stuff. Also it probably falls under harassment. |

Sadly people will make money to pay their gas bill....
And financial gains could play a party to this behaviour.
Solicitors scary letter 30 pounds would survice....
The letter will sit in his draw as a reminder to him that you are seriously going to take a next step of informing the police

Report it to the police, provide all documentary evidence you can. They might not be able to do anything now because “technically” no crime has been committed, but the sooner you can establish a pattern of behaviour the quicker you’ll be able to take legal action if any stalking tendencies do develop later. |

Tell the police what exactly? A guy on here told someone else their address? As I said above it must be unnerving for them but this other person hasn't come near, nothing has happened, the friend isn't threatening them with the info, they said they saw a chat about it so what can police do other than advise them on the people they give their personal details to. Its a crap thing to do yes of course but police can't really do much, can they? |
