I will look thank you.
Is it a fairly flat place?
Lots of hills aren't really an option for us. |

It does have a big hill to the Castle but centre where Market is held is flat. Also good public transport (trams, buses and metro) to all parts including the Castle. |

Cheap flights to Tallin, Estonia - beautiful medieval city that was voted best Xmas market in Europe just before COVID hit, plus you can get a ferry across to Helsinki and do the markets there for a fraction of the cost of staying in Helsinki.

East London |
"Bruges was lovely when we went. So beautiful and not tacky like some. Lots of places to eat and drink at approx London prices and things to do other than shop and eat.
"
Oh and I forgot to mention the chocolate shops and Christmas decoration shops.
And the waffles.
And not many children around.
And Flemish stew. |

"Tbh Birmingham does a good German Christmas market and it is everything you would get if you travelled to Germany/Austria or Switzerland.
Another vote for Brum. About 100 stalls "
And another vote for brum here - not the most exotic of sounding locations but it's the best I've been too (& I've been to a lot!)
Most of Europe's premier Xmas market stalls / sellers now prioritise attending this one... |

I read that they have pulled out in a few cities that they have been going to for years including Southampton and a few others. |

Agreed, Copenhagen is a lovely place, and the Xmas Market is in Tivoli Gardens, which is worth a visit by itself. Excellent transport links, people are friendly and kind. Worth a consideration. |

Just a bit of information for anyone that doesn't know.
If one of the people in your party has a disability you can get a significantly discounted carers ticket on Eurostar. We have booked premium economy as it still worked out cheaper than paying 2 full price economy tickets. |

I’ve been to Manchester, York, Salisbury, Cardiff, sadly all are the same type of items, food and drink. The atmosphere does change from place to place but the markets aren’t as diverse or unique as they were several years ago. |

"Lincoln Xmas market
Iv heard that one is really good so may check it out next year. "
I go to Lincoln's each year and it is good. The park and ride system is very well organised. Friday is a good day as not too busy and park and ride is slightly cheaper. |

I work in Manchester often, the market there is not that good, just food stalls mainly, no entertainment
Went to Nottingham a couple of years ago and it was great. Bands on all day, loads of bars and food places, much better
think we are doing Chester this year, never been hope its good |
