It is just a gentle introduction, respecting somebody might be busy or stressed or tired... I can see why some might find it illogical and irritating but I occasionally precede my question with one of those.
And I am not going to tell myself off for doing so! |

I've expressed my displeasure for this enough now at work that I think with most people I've broken the cycle. I mostly get a greeting/apology for bothering me and relevant question.
Just got to get everyone back on track with emojis/lol etc.
