Owned several Fiestas over the years, the three that I remember most fondly were a black XR2,a white XR2i and a red RS Turbo.Certainly amongst the more fun cars I've owned, and the RS Turbo is in my top three of cars I wish I'd never sold.Sad news that Ford are stopping production. |

They are far from pokey, they don’t look it but there is so much room in them. I’m disabled and cannot sit or get into the back seat of a car easily, but I can in mine. Plenty leg space in both front and back. They are also great on fuel consumption. Mine is a 1L and can get from Edinburgh to Gloucester on one tankful, with a full car, two people, luggage and two dogs and their luggage and still see out the back window, nothing poky about them. I hope mine will run for years |

"Had 4 of them in my time. Great cars and will be sadly missed.
I had a Ford Capri. I loved that car
Never driven one, what did I miss? "
They were a beautiful drive, long bonnet, smooth ride and back in the day (long, long ago) they had a bit of street cred |

My cousin's hubby had one and his had the external shades i=on the back window. I can't even remember if the headlamps were rounr or rectangular. It must've been around 1988.
did I miss something...I was expecting someone to say a stack of empty cardboard boxes. |

My first car was a T Reg (1979) Ford Capri 1.6L.
I couldn't afford the more powerful versions.
But i loved it. And that bonnet...it seemed to go on for ever. And having seen Bodie in The Professionals driving it, have it more street cred.
Luton is a Vauxhall Town...half my mates had Vauxhalls. Usally Viva's, Chevettes, Novas or Astras.
The rest had Fords. Fizzys (Fiestas), Eckys (E*****s) or Cortinas. |

My first car was an E reg Fiesta.
A few weeks after I passed my test me and 5 friends went to Blackpool in it.... along with a ghetto blaster because the radio got knicked.
On the way back over the Pennines we came to a massive hill and everyone had to get out at the bottom whilst I drove the car to the top because it wouldn't get up with everyone in..... Happy days |

I do like the Ford Capri, even now it’s a timeless design if I had the money spare, I’d buy one. That and a Cortina & Anglia. |

The original ones were tiny, but they seem to have grown over the years, I bet there’s hardly any difference in size between the latest variant and an older model focus? |
