Okay so long story short I’ve hit into the back of someone going 5mph and made the tiniest dent from the impact. Nothing on my van. Is it really worth going through my insurance ? She has my details as I have hers but yeah…. What to do…… advice would be appreciated

Depends what she wants to do i guess as your fault ( when you run into someone from behind - normally). Wait and see if she develops whiplash overnight…. Hopefully she’ll be happy to get it fixed and you pay the bill - no insurance involvement on either side.

Depends really, if it's that small I'd offer your excess as a sorry about that, and not do anything if possible

well for starters it's your fault, speak to woman whose car you damaged and see what she says if she's willing to let you pay for the repair go with that

?

I believe this would be entirely dependent on the other party, if they report to their insurers and process a claim it's out of your hands.

Good idea but make sure you piss on her bonnet beforehand to establish dominance.

I have been in exactly this position, wee shunt up someone’s bum at a roundabout, the damage to their car was rubbed off with a thumb but I gave my details and took theirs. I never heard anymore about it afterwards

Hopefully you’re as lucky OP

lake district

Have a craic with her, ask her if she's happy for you to sort it without going through insurance due to excess and NCB then just arrange for it to be sorted through an autobody company.
