How good are you at prioritising what's important to you? Do you ever find yourself stretched a bit thin or are you quite aware of yourself and what you can and can't do it?
I tend to find that if something out of my control disrupts plans etc, I'm a bit rubbish. I quite like routine I guess. |

I need routine to get things done and then I disrupt my own plans by for example being on here. An hour goes by and I have not done what I was meant to do. It sucks when your routine is thrown out by being on the forums... |

I'm good and bad at it.
You have to be good at prioritising when you're self employed otherwise you'd end up with unhappy clients and also run yourself ragged.
However the downfall to this is you cannfind yourself overcommiting or stacking up jobs if things go tits up with customers, suppliers or any other factor you cant control.
Good diary management is essential but sometimes priorities have to change due to things beyond your control. You also tend to prioritise work related stuff over personal which can end up pissing off those close to you at times.
Still beats working for 'big business' though......

I can't prioritise to save my life. For example, right now I'm supposed to be researching and doing work, then I'll need to cook some food... I foresee a future where neither of those happen and I spend another evening fabbing dick pics and posting in the forum |

I'm reading your question differently to everyone else I think Melster. I'm reading it as do I prioritise the people and things that matter to me over the mundane, everyday things. And the answer to that is a resounding yes! Life is far too short not to in my opinion. Obviously there are things that have to be done, like work, because I've come to the conclusion that I'm rubbish at winning the lottery or finding a sugar daddy. But if it's a choice between doing the ironing or going out with a friend, then the ironing will still be there tomorrow.
If you meant the question how others have answered, then nah, I live my life on the fly and don't tend to stick to routines and plans unless I absolutely have to (see above about being a lottery winning failure). I'm the queen of procrastination and winging it. Unless it involves food, I'm always up for booking a good restaurant weeks in advance! |

It's the only consistent way I have of being thin.
Prioritising myself though, it's difficult. I'll swing from extremes of bending over backwards for some people and being quite obstinate with others.
I'm happy to help those I like, but when I feel the tingle of being taken advantage of, I struggle to view them the same way again. |

I was going to reply to this earlier but I had more important things to do. |

I'm so crap at prioritising that someone from Early Help services had to teach me to do it 3 years ago after I had a breakdown due to spreading myself too thin. Just recognising what was important and what was less so was beyond my capabilities as everything appeared equally significant in my autistic head. I've gone the other way now and probably should be prioritising more than I am. I feel selfish and lazy compared to the old me. It's all very complicated, this adulting stuff. |

I’m ok at prioritising, but as Lily said it’s more important to do it for people and also for myself. I’ve got better at that which has made a huge change in my life because I can recognise who is important.
S’up, OP? What do you think you need to improve upon? |

I often have to prioritise due to health issues. So what's more important, my pain levels or the house being tidy? Usually it's nothing that can wait half a day.
I write a lot of lists to help.
I try to prioritise spending time with people who's company I enjoy over most things. Because life is too short!
Not sure if that answers your question or not |

Melster. Oh Lily.
It's about a combination of things really; a tad frustration directed inwards because I'm unable to do things I'd normally do currently, a conversation with a friend on people and prioritising them.
Life is too short isn't it? Never give up on your sugar daddy dream, you've still got a few years in the old quim yet. |

I suppose I’m good. Eg. Right now I have two absolutely priorities and I do them and keep it up 100 percent.
Everything else after it, … takes a back seat, but if I commit, I know I can do them and will always, yes! Always complete it, as I wouldn’t take it on or say yes if I couldn’t.
