....but does this ever apply to Gentleman? Is there an equivalent of carefree gentlemen who lunch? Oh you know, that solidarity lunch?

Menfolk, together, partaking in a luncheon?

The made up term "Men Who Lunch" doesn't seem to appear in urban folklore.

No I believe only “gentlemen” are admitted to gentlemens’ clubs.

(You know all those titled Lords, MP’s and other millionaires who have for the most part never “earnt” their living )

I’ve been out to walk and lunch with a friend today. We ended up chatting to guys on the next table who had done the same thing

Others go to Working Men Clubs (a blast from the past).

I understood you could be recommended if you knew the correct cutlery to use, voted Tory and paid a substantial subscription.

"Men that munch..."

Munch is trademarked to the Bdsm community. People who use it without permission will be bound and flogged....unless they like that, in which they will have to write one hundred lines that they will not steal trademark ideas.

We've still got a working men's club in Putney....although the upstairs has now been taken over by men more in touch with their feminine side...the local salsa club. The hips don't lie.

Rumination can be a symptom of underlying issues. If this bothers you, please consider contacting your doctor.

Ladies who lunch - is a reference to women who don't work because their husbands keep them.

It's for a certain section of society.

It's not meeting up with other mums in Wetherspoons or sucking up a milk shake in Maccie D's.....

It's Angelica Marchenson meeting Naomi Fortescue Smythe in Fortnum's Mezzanine.

I like lunching at Fortnum's when I'm in London, and I'm very much not a kept man, more's the pity.
