Tom is no fan of the Japanese but the Daily Telegraph have shown how a brave mountain climber in Japan fought off multiple attacks from a dangerous bear on a mountainside showing the courage of man against these buggers that attack with no reason . The climber fought off the evil bear with no weapons. Tom would carry a Colt 45 if he went climbing |

Is that the one where he kept kicking it in the face until it walked off?
There’s that other viral video where a bear encounters about 3 or 4 female hikers where they just stand perfectly still while he jumps up on them inquisitively, has a bit of a sniff, checks them out for a couple of minutes then walks away again. They had a massively lucky escape! |

Apparently a part of the video that's nit shown is him getting between the mother and her cubs and try to play with them . The mother was just protecting her cubs . |

What’s wrong with Japanese people? Some of the greatest people on earth.
Tom could do better to be less of a judgemental donut and also refer to himself as I rather than in the 3rd person. Don’t be like Tom. |

Exactly!
I love the Japanese nation, the Japanese culture and Japanese people. Some of the most interesting, friendly and kind hearted people I’ve ever met. Having been there loads with work I genuinely think Japan, it’s people and culture is brilliant. In fact I’d live there. |

Why was he climbing a mountain Tom? Was it for some practical purpose or so he could bore his mates down the pub with his “when I was climbing mountains” story. Bear should have eaten him.
If you step in my back yard, you’re going to get eaten ( ) |

I also like Japan, the culture and cuisine... but at the same time I think back to what they did in WWII (along with the Germans) and think... |
