Hi
Do you let out part of your house/apartment, caravan etc via a rental type site.
What percentage cut do they take and are there routes where you can take cash?
We've been looking for Airbnb type places and where the price looks fair intially is not as there a so-called cleaning costs and service chages so a 70-90 let is actually a lot more and hardly any do breakfast.
Looking around coast etc of Kent, Sheppy, etc gave me the idea to possibly let out one of our rooms that is big, enuite and we could easily put a microwave, etc in there. Are you able to share, touch on rewards/pitfalls/etc?

Good luck with this, it’s a good way to supplement income.
Personally I don’t want anyone else in my home unless I had a separate annex that I could section off but I know loads of people do it!

If you’re just looking to rent out a room in a house you live in, you could try Spareroom. It’s purely for advertising. I often browse it to see the type of people looking for a room as I’m tempted to rent one out. I’ve yet to find the elusive flight attendant that would be away 90% of the time haha. I just want the cash without someone else being in my house! |
