I can’t, I wake up at exactly the same time every single day! No mater what time I go to bed. Weird.
How many hours sleep do need v what you want? Because those days I don’t need to get up, I’d rather not but end up just lying there looking at a Cieling trying to nod off.
I’m jelous of those that sleep in, I want what you have. |

It's a sign of getting old. Your brain wakes you earlier and ealier closer to death as you don't have much time left so you wake up early so you have more hours in the day to be awake and to be alive. |

"I can't..in the week I'm up at 0300 for work so my body clock is totally messed up "
Yep. I thinks that’s it, the body clock is set, and for one day it just doesn’t have a chance to do anything different. |

"Same here, bedtime at 10pm or 2am, I'm awake at 6am give or take. But I enjoy the hour or so quiet time having breakfast and coffee before the world stirs."
I used to really like my Sundays, that hour or so on my own, and then the few hours of breakfast time. Bliss. |

Used to work a 6-2 shift so was up 4:30am, did this for about 3yrs. This was back in the early 1990s but I still automatically wake up 4:30. Add insomnia into the mix and if I get 4hrs sleep a night I consider that a good night. |

Can you relate this to living in a tent somehow please? |

Normally awake for work at 4am every day but lately I'm not due to the accident
So layed in bed later than normal and found I get a sore back if I don't try and get up
Then end up sitting all day watching YouTube getting a sore arse due to sitting all day
Can't wait for things to heal and I can get out and about |

Only cheap tents do that I buy the best. I'm not outdoors I'm in my tent. Why do walls have to be solid and permanent to be classed as a home? |

Oh I can and do sleep in, if I'm able to. However, my body clock is approximately nocturnal if I leave it to its own devices. It's not really sleeping in if you fall asleep at 2-3am and wake up at 10-11am. However, society doesn't cater much for the nocturnal folk and so I still go to sleep at about 2am and force myself to get up at 7am on weekdays by setting alarms, and go around in a state of chronic sleep deprivation most of the time.
Mr KC is an early riser by default and struggles to lie in. He's happy to get up with our daughter at weekends, because he's already awake and I stay in bed a bit longer, generally on Sundays. |

Easily, I actively enjoy waking up and laying in bed surfing the net on my phone. After years (feels like centuries) of getting up early for work and children it's something I used to look forward to. I take full advantage now |

This! Working from home has been a real blessing in this sense as, without a commute, I can stay up until I'm tired and still get a decent amount of sleep before work the next day.
But on the OP, yes, I do enjoy a lie-in! |

I get really annoyed at the popular perception that people who sleep later or lie in are lazy. I'm the antithesis of lazy but I don't spring out of bed at 7am without being clobbered about the head with alarms and a sexy husband to come and tell me the time! |

Yes I had a lie in this morning - I set my alarm for 6.30am instead of 5.30am. However, I treated myself even further by listening to the radio and cuddling the dog until 7am before actually getting up. God I love Sundays |

My sleep pattern is all wrong, I go to bed at 3 or 4 in the morning and wake up around 11 and I could easily go back to sleep if I wanted
When I've got to be somewhere early in the morning it's just horrible |

That might be just your body clock. It's not wrong. It just doesn't fit in with the 9-5 society. I empathise because I'm pretty much the same. |

It's so annoying isn't it, every morning is a struggle. When I was doing the 7:00AM starts everything was easier, everything's changed since starting Uni. |
