Millions of Brits eat chocolate wrong.....

Scientific research from Galaxy has concluded that the correct way to store chocolate is in a cupboard at a temperature of 18 degrees – not in the fridge as over three-quarters (78 per cent) of Brits currently do.
This comes despite the UK being a nation of chocoholics with one in three (34 per cent) revealing that they eat chocolate on a daily basis.
Galaxy has commissioned food scientist Natalie Alibrandi to develop a rulebook for optimum chocolate enjoyment – revealing the 'Ten Commandments of How to Eat Chocolate'.
It is recommended that people eat chocolate earlier in the day – between 9-11 am – for a mid-morning pick-me-up and limit distractions while eating chocolate to allow the senses to be focused on the experience.
TV wine connoisseur Olly Smith features in a new video recommending that Brits smell and savour chocolate like a fine wine.
Victoria Gell, Brand Director, Galaxy chocolate said: "With over half of the UK stating chocolate is their favourite treat we’re keen to share these tips to help create the ultimate indulgent pleasure experience.
"At Galaxy we know a thing or two about that thanks to our silky, smooth chocolate setting the gold standard for taste. We want to help Brits understand the subtle nuances and characteristics of chocolate while of course giving it the full respect it deserves!" |

I always put chocolate in the freezer... when I'm around a freezer. I tried taking ice cream to my tent here in Spain but by the time I got to the tent it had melted! |

Chocolate is the one thing I never got the taste back properly on after presumably covid. It still tastes off and not right so I have properly weaned off it now. Im more of a crisps girl. Galaxy chocolate always tasted better from a cupboard though, although it is too sweet really. I used to like frozen cadburys. |

"Surely individuals are capable of judging what temperature taste best to them ?"
True… but if chocolate was meant to be eaten that cold.. the surely shops and supermarkets would have them in fridges…
Anyway… that is a 1st world we don’t live in a hot country problem!!!! |

Rarely eat chocolate, but whenever I buy any I usually hide it way in the back of a cupboard so the small person doesn’t find it and eat it. Nothing more soul crushing than a craving and someone has eaten it |

According to Michel Roux the real problem with chocolate is Brits use vegetable oil when producing chocolate instead of cocoa oil.
Hence the Belgians, Swiss etc make the better chocolate
Not a chocolate fan myself so wouldn’t know |

With all the crap going on in the world Galaxy decided to get a food scientist to tell us how to eat chocolate. Well I’ve made it to almost 60 eaten plenty of the stuff so not sure I’m gonna take much notice of their rule book. I don’t even like when they put on some chocolate bars “For Sharing” not a chance if I’ve bought it that’s mine no one gets to share it. Lol |
