Michael Shannon's meltdown in Take Shelter, at the community lunch thing.
His acting is incredible and it packs one of the biggest emotional punches I've ever seen |

That last scene in GLADIATOR..." The time for honouring yourself will soon be at an end ..highness " .. totally brilliant, he knew what was coming up the tracks but he still had one more thing to do. |

"Freeeeeeeeeedooooommm.....that scene in Braveheart.. totally brilliant , he gave his life for what he believed in.
Even though it was complete nonsense and factually incorrect?"
The Battle of Stirling Bridge was replaced with the field scene due to problems rearranging the action scene and filming it would have been a nightmare for the crew. So the field battle was selected to give the audience a better viewing prospective. Yes it is not factually correct but mels performace of wallace is still outstanding i think any way. |

Arguably any in Threads after the bomb has dropped. They really do make the point that a nuclear war is unwinnable.
Also, honourable mention to the Wendy Whoppers scene in Big Boob Bikini Bash |

A certain scene in Last Tango In Paris.
I was far far too young to have watched it, and even at that age, understood that something deeply wrong had happened between the two characters.
It’s even more disturbing when you find out the back story to the scene, that the actress had the content of the scene withheld from her until close to filming, and that she felt violated in real life too, the tears in the scene being real. The male actor didn’t console her in any way.
Just wrong. |

In moonlight at the end when he says to Black ‘who is you Chiron?’
Or when he’s being taught to swim and the guy’s like ‘feel that? You in the middle of the world, man’.
Also love the scene in The Godfather when he kisses Fredo and he’s like ‘you broke my heart, Fredo’

It wasn't the question tbh , it was about movies , wether you think the way you do , which of course you're entitled to do but the question was about movies , and to me that scene was brilliant. |

I really really love that film. There’s light and shade to it, but so much of it is joyous and fun. Julia Roberts shines. |

Top pick.. "
It's a really sad scene, all his character wanted was to live longer. Still one of my favourite films to this day. |

"The girl in the red dress in Schindler's list.
I thought she was wearing red shoes??I believe it was actually a red coat."
Indeed
My favourite moment of that movie is actually the closing shoot of the survivors or their closed ones laying stones on the graves. Beautiful Jewish tradition and a very poignant, reflective closure of the film. |

Hudsons speech in aliens. Twice he has two
Great moments.
First in the apc telling ripley not to be scared as bad ass marines are here.
Second when he is fighting aliens in the control room and going off verbally while shooting them up

Judge Doom's reveal of his identity in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. The only nightmare fuel I know to scare both adults and kids.
The T-800s sacrifice at the end of Terminator 2. One of the saddest scenes in movie history showing a killer machine make a heroic sacrifice to ensure the safety of humanity. |

The is a scene in 'The Longest Day' when Rod Steiger looks at a radar screen of the invasion fleet, the says:
"Remember it, Remember every bit of it, because we are on the eve of a day that people are going to talk about long after we are dead and gone ... It gives me goosebumps just to think about it." |

Silence of the lamb's.
The scene in the cell where Clarice is interviewing For lector.
The cinematography is brilliant the way it makes you feel like they are together in a room with no bar's or anything between them. |

Loved reading all these and being reminded of great movies and trying to think of ones I enjoy (some already mentioned).
Some from me:
The Jack Nicholson "You can't handle the truth" rant.
All Alan Rickman scenes from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (totally stole the show from Costner).
The bit in "Grosse Pointe Blanc" where he tells everyone at the school reunion he is a hired assassin. And the cafe scene with Dan Ackroyd. |

Uncle Monty’s London lair. The piano music. The feud with his cat (’it will die! It will die!). The excellent decor. The way Richard Griffiths collapses onto the sofa. |

The there is no coloured bathroom scene in Hidden Figures where Al Harrison asks Katherine Johnson where she goes every day for 40 minutes.
It's a very powerful scene and Taraji Henson's acting is outstanding. I cried the first time I saw it.

"Rutger Hauer's tears in the rain speech at the end of Blade Runner, incredibly moving and emotionally charged."
He adlibbed from the original script and did a brilliant rewrite of it, pure poetry. Should be on the syllabus, along with Haze's death scene in Watership Down. |
