This! My Dad taught me. Also, if you have access to goose or duck fat, they stay crispy for hours - good for those of us who like to make too many and eat them cold for supper. |

What oil do you use ? Ever add garlic ?"
Goose or duck fat, but sunflower works. Sometimes, depends what we're having. But more often it will be just plain roast potatoes |

Pretty standard really. Season it with just pepper and leave it out to rest for a couple of hours, get the pan smoking hot, salt it and oil the steak and not the pan, and only flip it once, 2 to 2.5 minutes per side for me. Leave it to rest again a short while, then serve. |

Not very ladylike, but I can (apparently) fart with the best of 'em.
I was in the bathroom one morning, unaware that my husband was awake, and I let out a long, squeaky one. Hubby soon appeared and told me that he timed it, coming in at 16 seconds!
It only being a flatulist was a marketable commodity. Le Pétomane and Mr Methane aside... |
