I don't think you're allowed to speak about specific bans, but I could be wrong.
I do know that I had a 24 hour ban a while ago, I have genuinely no idea why. A better system would be something like sharing a screenshot of the offending post on the message informing people of their ban. |

I agree ! I got a ban once for telling some not to name and Shame - apparently I was challenging a mods decision ??? Still not sure why really 
Agree that screenshoting or perhaps a public warning would be better |

You are given a reason by the admin team and an answer to the OP's is question people can report what they like but if it doesn't break the rules nothing will happen so obviously the post broke the site rules. |

Just being devils advocate, if a person reports you it needs to be reviewed, if the poster is adamant they don't know why, I'm offering a possibility. Might not be that, maybe they are lying, just seeing what may have caused it. |

Not necessarily, I was given a 48hr ban and wasn’t given a reason. No idea which comment or thread it was in relation to. |

 agreed. I’ve had random bans and the “reason” given has been generic and I’ve been genuinely perplexed as to what comment on what thread was the offending one, as I couldn’t think of anything that was outside the rules.
Without knowing what you did wrong, it’s difficult to amend your behaviour for the future.
Having said that it’s not easy being a mod and overall they do a WONDERFUL job |

You can appeal, you can ask Admin to explain further. You’ll probably not hear anything back but I agree it’s good to know what you’ve actually done
