Men pretending to me 'female' profiles

On Fab last night with a friend who has a solo female profile so we opted to use hers rather than mine. And it caused me to ponder the following...
Fab is of course perpetually blighted by single men pretending to be couples and even more annoyingly single women. And it has also of course been asked in these Forums many times why they do this. And naturally everyone wades in with the "cheap thrill" and "satisfying fantasies" etc... type theories which are all undoubtedly valid.
However, seeing a single female's profile 'live' on here really hit it home to me just how much faster, more intense and livelier it is than being a bloke on a bloke's profile. I don't think I've ever had 50 'out of the blue' messages in all the time been on here. Yet here was my friend getting 50 an hour.... most likely more. And these Fabbers were sending her stories and jokes and confessions and private pics and private vids. It was engaging. It was entertaining. It was titillating. It was basically far more exciting! Far more so than me being on here just as me.
So I'll throw this into the mix too that, in addition to the standard reasons why men fake it on here, one of them is it is simply more 'fun' operating a 'female' profile.
Just my thoughts, feel free to add your own.

Fully agree, I'm happy being me. But having 'outed' at least two dozen, likely more, blokes pretending to be women it has always puzzled me why they do it. |

Friends and I used to pretend to be a woman on a well known chat/cam site where guys get their dicks out, when I was an early teen. Any grown man doing that needs to give their head a wobble. |

At least two 'fakes' I've outed confessed they were teens. One being a 16 year old lad. Sure, he could still have been lying but, due to road names on some pics he had on his profile, I'd 'found' his location and he was shit scared someone would come after him. He was so concerned I am sure he was then being being truthful.
So a certain % are definitely teens just dicking about. |

Some use them to browse on the site without hassle, some to keep an eye on guys they're interested in and some to chat to and befriend other women that they may see as direct competition.
I'm not going any further down that rabbit hole but I'm sure others can elaborate. |

Well there you go. The 'browse the site without hassle' ties in directly with what I'm saying. A male profile gets precious little traffic whereas a female one is deluged. So it makes even more sense now which one - an individual actively seeking interaction - is going to opt for.
The only other point I would offer for women wishing to browse 'hassle free' (surely their prerogative to do so if they wish) is they can always use the filters in Privacy as well as toggling "Hide on looked at me" as well. But maybe they desire something even more covert?

I think you've just proved the OP's theory. Men wanting to do that on a men's profile don't get any replies. So they pretend to be a woman to get someone to interact with. |

Many couples on here are seeking that oft elusive single fem so will allow one access to their friends only pics and vids... normally off limits to single men. |

But somewhat i find it’s mostly the guys who have straight and aren’t looking for tv/ts
I always ask why
And get one off two reasons
1st is the old woman / couples don’t meet bi guys or guys that meet tv/ts witch I know to be bs as I don’t have a problem in that regard so I take it as they tryed with woman or couples and no luck so heck I am the next best thing get a bang and leave site so it wasn’t a total waste off time
2nd is ooo I watched tv/ts porn always been a fantasy for me

It happens quite a lot particularly on couple's profiles.
I think the main reason is they think any attention is better than none and also maybe they feel when they come clean they can convince you to meet them. |

I don't think that's the case for most female profiles
For most of us managing our account can feel like a full time job, as soon as your online your inbox starts pinging & don't get me wrong there's the odd decent message but most are boring one liners 'hi' 'how are you' 'nice tits' 'you meeting'
Id say it's less than once a month I get a message that makes me laugh or think yeah they've got something about them |

Sorry to hear you get hassled too. But from what you are saying these are men with men's profiles yes??? What the OP is alluding to is there are countless of 'female' profiles on here that are in fact men. Admittedly it may only be tiny consolation to you but at least they are, pretty much, what they say on the tin.
I might be speaking for the OP wrongly here but I;m thinking he's really saying if we know WHY these people do it we can take steps to stop them doing it. Sure, here will never be perfect we accept that but if we are all AT THE VERY LEAST what our profiles describe us as its a start! |

She explained clearly how different setting can affect things. Particularly if she puts the MEET TODAY red and white flag up puts similar wording in her status update. Such actions cause her inbox to be deluged.
She uses the filters and has most of her pics set to friends only as that too makes it easier to cope with.
But yes I was maybe using colourful language but a make vs female is 'chalk and cheese' - you get a quantity of regular messages. Men in the main get none. And that's the point I was wishing to make. |

I’ve been watching my lady friend on fab and her inbox (hur! hur!) was constantly having messages from men pop up (ha!) and guess what? Almost all the messages were crap - cringeworthy, poorly written and didn’t stand an ice cream in hells chance of succeeding in what I assume were their purpose. |

Tbh it’s just part of life. Some people will be dicks, some will be honest, some might even be who they say they are. Fab is no different it’s just making sure you know what you want from it and not taking it too seriously. Along the way there are many opportunities to spot the fakes. And just have fun with it  |

It’s wasting everyone’s including their own time for a very cheap underhanded frill

No, my issue is purely with men operating profiles that purport to be women and why they feel the necessity to do that.
