If sex isn’t important, why are we “just here for the forums” on a sex site?
I genuinely like sex with the right person, but finding those I connect with is becoming a rarity on here, and then if it’s a sexual connection it might only be one way. (a connection is different to blowing smoke up your ass)
But I’m finding that I wait for each person like that to come and go and then they might be for me but I’m not for them.
I’m here in a chat room and flirt, but I could do that on twitter.
Is it time to venture to the ‘copy and paste’ word of fab away from the forums?
Is there any success story’s of that for the single guys who are over 40 and not ripped to fuck?
*not directed at women, because I hear you guys don’t need to send 1st messages

Well I hear you , I am on here mainly for the forums and the flirting.
I am not actively looking and most of the time I don’t even reply to wink even though it could be a potential fuck so to speak.
I guess I stay on here because there is the only place I know where I can say lovely anus on you, keep eating fibers, without being branded as a Peugeot driver x

Most people are not mutually compatible with most other people. You thus are likely to need to engage with many others, in order to find those with that mutual interest. You've probably got to explore and experiment with your tactics to refine this, so that it improves your results.
I think this is a part of what you asked. Clubs could be great for you |

For me this site is a hobby, just like the other things I enjoy doing in my free time.

Do we meet? Yes. Infrequently because, well, life!
Do we go to clubs? Yes. Again Infrequently.
Do I send more time in here than on other social media? Yes. Because half of what I post on here would get censored elsewhere and I'd also have to explain myself to vanilla friends and family as to why I have an extensive knowledge of kink and non monogamous shenanigans.
There's nowt wrong with the bulk of your time spent on Fab being taken up by arseing around in here.
You don't have to meet.
It is fun though.......

I don't use the forums to try and get meets from them, I genuinely like chatting on them, I was in a Kik room for years and got tired of the same old "orgy" "show your tits if you spell something wrong" amongst other topics that went round daily, here the (mostly) topics are varied and I can reply to what I fancy.
If I was to get anything from it, bonus but the forums is literally just somewhere I can chat to like-minded folk! |

There is a whole world of fab beyond the forums that I think is a lot more fun with a lot less fuss.
The forums are good for a giggle, the occasional eye roll but there’s so much more to the site.

100% agree with this. There are two separate parts of fab and I would say the forum is the minority. The vast majority of people I meet never set foot in the forums so I take everything that is said here with a very large pinch of salt. |

the main ''pot'' of people who meet are not on the forums and come nowhere near the forums ... the forums are a tiny part of fab and that makes the number of women and couple who use it a even smaller collection of people ...
people join or use fab for what ever reasons that is correct and perfectly fine alot of those women /couples who use fab to chat do meet just not via fab |

I feel the same, and don't even bother sending messages now.
Honestly, I feel that I'm wasting my time trawling through profiles and even thinking about sending messages (which mostly remain unread) anymore.
I now spend a lot of my time on the forums...it's fun and yes, maybe a little addictive (not in a negative way).
In the meantime, I'm still meeting some very lovely ladies the way always have...on other sites, in shops, at work and so on. I've never had any problems there, but for some reason I've failed to fly on here.
It's not a problem...like I say, I meet plenty of really nice people elsewhere, so the forums are my sole focus on here now.
Best to not take issue with it. Like you say, maybe a club will be good for you. Shop around though...I was shocked when I saw what some of them charge for single males. I'm an emergency worker, so will be getting free membership with one.

Perhaps people should branch out and explore the rest of fab, they might find someone they like  |

Same. But those bonus’s seem to come and go when people leave the forums, that’s kind of my feeling right now.
I agree with the varied things to comment/reply too, otherwise I’d have lost interest a long time ago. |

just to add been on fab since the site started (and other before fab was born) im a regular meet person i meet most weeks sometimes more in a week but ive never met a regular forum person for me its not the place to look for meets great for chats n debates but for me not meets |

We live too far away from each other? Maybe?
At least the search function lets you find people that live close enough to make things feasible if you got along. Maybe thats why a regular thing is possible.

I generally like the forums, we're not actively looking to meet at the moment because we are busy with well general life right now, but saying that it doesn't mean we wouldn't make time for the right person/persons.
But right now I'm just enjoying the forums.

Spot on...most people on the forums seem to be polite, friendly, humorous and good-natured.
Yes, there'll be an occasional bad potato, but they're generally handled quite well by the community.

I like The Lounge & Games forums mostly. I read far more threads than I post on.
Not meeting at the moment, but I have plenty of friends here from over the years that I can have a laugh with and meet for tea and cake. They’ve been really supportive recently when I’ve suffered a bereavement. |

Sex is important for me but I'm not in great health at the moment so it's taken a back burner.

I'm 63, been around Fab for close to 10 years now i think. My old SM profile had 150+ meets.
Fab is what you make of it.
Messages, Forums, Clubs, Socials, got to use them all.
If an old git like me could do it, anyone can.
