Sorry for the totally vanilla topic but i'm on the lookout for places to visit in the lakes, mainly for sight seeing and stunning autumn views, little woodland walks, cosy pubs and small people friendly walks.
We've been going to the lakes for years and it feels like we've done all the super busy tourist attractions so im looking more for those lesser known places.

If you’ve been going for years you probably know all the best ones.
There’s a nice path from Skelwith Bridge to Elterwater (and beyond of you want into the Langdales Valley) that takes you past Wainwrights Inn at Chapel Stile, which is always nice to stop at.
I used to recommend the Three Shires Inn at Little Langdale until it got taken over by Hipsters from London who have changed the menu ..
