I've always used the saying 'Spending money like a man with no arms' in the sense of spending lots of money!! But it makes no sense when you think about it, and I wonder if I misuse it. Any other weird sayings?

On the subject of money, my dad always used to say people who were tight with their money were as tight as a camels arse in a sandstorm.
