How many friends from university did you stay in touch with or stayed in touch with you? (Or if you didn’t go to uni… from school)…
Personally - very few and made me wonder if some close friendships at university were genuine or not and not something of convenience to not be left out/lonely… |

I have one friend from uni I'm still close to. I don't see anyone from school, not for many many years. My oldest friend is my ex-husband who I've known since I was 17.

We're friends with people we went to high school with, from the first year. I met my best mate on the induction day! We went to uni together too, as well as school. I have one uni friend but I don't think Mr KC has any. We know people who met spouses at uni though. |

I have friends I'm in touch with from each period of my education from pre school to PhD. I don't see them as much as I once did, as we've moved had families etc. But they're an important part of what makes me me. Our joint memories I treasure. Friendship as much as any other relationship is down to a commitment to put the effort in. |

On my Facebook, I have “friends” from school, university and places I worked.
I rarely use FB and never post so it’s a bit moot.
This may sound sad to you all but I don’t have any friends, not people I pursue hobbies with, go out for meals or drinks with. Sometimes I think, did I actively choose this life, or am I just a c@£t? often deciding on the latter. Now this all sounds rather melancholy doesn’t it? It isn’t, I’m cool honest |

This for me too. I was in touch with and saw some School friends up until my mid 20’s but then I moved away from my home town and don’t do things like School reunions etc so lost touch, but they’re on my hardly used Facebook should I want to nose.
I’m more of a loner anyway, I’m not good at keeping up contact with folk. |

Very few from school or uni
Was bullied in both so would not want to have kept in touch and also did not fit in with the uni crowd, esp with not being a drinker
Two days after uni I was in England and almost did not go back for uni graduation
About a year ago met up with one guy for a drink but not since |

None.
It doesn't mean we were false.
It just means we were friendly at university.
People have other groups/people in their lives.
People move across country after uni. They get new jobs, start families, extend their family in more ways than one.
Life changes.
Im interested in how many people from university you have contacted ? Not them contacting you ....... how many did you make any effort to stay in touch with?
I know I never made any effort. They were people I went to uni with. |
